Shinki Fubuki - the Ninja fox-bird

Posted by Arctic-Kitsune [www]

Hello! Haven't posted a Shinki related post for a couple of weeks now. Well, if you're interested for more, I got Shinki Fubuki to share with you. She is a limited edition 2008 figure. Her quality is also truly outstanding. I ordered her from Mandarake and am highly pleased with everything!

I put the more interesting bits here, but if interested feel free to visit my blogu :P

Fubuki - Type Ninjya (Ninja)

Here! I'll show you!

And if you're having a hard time reading it, here's the quote:

A.D 2035, there has been no world war 3, nor even invasions. The world has naturally evolved since 2006.

However, robots have now integrated into everyday life , and are active in various fields. “Shinki is a robot figure standing at 15 cm tall.

They have their own mind and emotions, and they co-exist amongst humans. People allow “shinkis” to equip themselves with an array of ewaponry and armor, so that they can fight each other.

They fight for their pride to prove their strength or simply for victory! “shinkis that obey their owners orders and go to battle others of their kind are called “Busou Shinki”.

Lovely Fubuki! How can you hate this face? No failbuki, or failninja comments or me, and my lovely Shinki's shall exact vengeance ^_^. Even the honorable Benio shall join in! Poor Benio and Fubuki :(.

Interesting muffler, almost like the Figma counterpart :P.

The only problem I had with Fubuki was a rusted screw.....It even stained the protective plastic packaging.

Allow me to activate Fubuki :) *inserts three CSC cores*

Fubuki: “Commencing memory startup…..Memory start up complete.”

Shinki Fubuki - the Ninja fox-bird

Apparently she loaded up a CSC Core containing foxy traits? Or her programming contains a bit of fox traits in it lol. Swift as a fox, yet deadly as a bird?

Fubuki: “I'm at your service, Master.”

I just got a Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom vibe here. That is not a bad thing.

And this is all her awesome gear. You can see that she is a skillful ninja, a bird, and a fox all in one. Though, the thigh armor looks like beetle armor - Kitsune + tori + kabuto = ninjya Fubuki?

Fubuki: “Hello Master, what may I do for you today?”

She comes with a nicely detailed katan, Benio would be jealous of this!

Foxy Ninjya Fubuki! She comes with a pair of shurikens and a throwing star.

Fubuki is a shy one so you'll see her sleeping, meditating, and basically being the silent type in the group. Though, when you get to know her a bit better she's a very cheerful Ninja! Cheerful enough at least. :D

But please do not throw her in the garbage! No figure deserves to be forgotten or thrown into the garbage! (Battle Master's reference)

Renge looking to instigate a fight.....that's our Renge..

- Renge: “Mastah? Who is this?”
- Me: “She’s Fubuki, and she is a Type Ninja. She shall be staying with us from now on so do be kind.”
- Renge: “Ah, so you won’t mind if I battle her then? I’m a bit bored after training you.”
- Me: “Oi! No!…….Hey!….Wait damn it!”
- Renge : “It’s ok Mastah, I shall win this one and make her my minion!”
- Me: “You aren’t even repaired after trying to attach Figma parts onto your body….”
- Renge: “That’s your fault for not stopping me in time! Idiot Master!”
- Me: *sighs*
- Fubuki: “……..”

- Renge: “Prepare to lose Fubuki! I shall prove to be the best for my Master!”
- Me: *whispers to self* – “So much for a warm welcome.”
- Fubuki: “….”

- Renge: “Aiiiie!~ Impossible! I should be Class B! Wait!? Is she also a Class B?!”
- Me: “Yes! She is also a class B, she just downloaded her memory from the main databank.”
– Renge: “Idiot Masteeeerr!”
- Me: “Well, I did try to warn you but you wouldn’t listen.”

Mouseover = load notes.
Shinki Fubuki - the Ninja fox-bird

- Fubuki: “There shall be neither victory, nor defeat; Master wouldn’t be pleased with either.”
- Renge: “……..?”

Draw! - Shouts random female announcer from nowhere. (Battle Rondo reference)

Ya, sorry lol. I didn't want to see Renge lose again like she did with Kohiru.

Mouseover = load notes.

And they just kept going at it after that.....Renge even managed to steal Fubuki's tail after this....

They sure make a lovely foxy pair :P

You got the first release Fubuki exclusive, the second release came with black wings and a Ninja scroll. I would recommend getting her sister, Mizuki, she is harder to come by though.

Ya, I saw this, and the one with the black wings on Mandarake. I chose to get this one because it seemed to be the best option for me. Now here is to hoping I can obtain Mizuki haha! That's going to be a pain.

Yup! It's Fubuki's tail lol, and it's very heavy for Renge.

I've got her too >w< Partio's still my favorite though, oddly enough.

You got lucky with your Fubuki--mine has a very loose hand, and since I got the newer version, she came with wings. Not that the wings aren't awesome, but the ways you have to attach them are absolutely moronic >< They couldn't have just put pegs in the wings--no, they had to put holes in them, so you have to attach joints to the wings, then to her back. Even then, the joints are so big and clunky that they fall out a lot, and can barely be moved =(

Sweet! Partio is a fun little Shinki so I can see why.

Loose hands seem to be a problem with both the Figma's and the Shinki's to the point where it's troublesome. And it seems that I chose well with getting the wingless version of Fubuki, from seeing your issues. I have Fubuki's waist armor to worry about as you have to pull the rubber portion to the point were it might risk snapping >.<

I think it's also because Partio was my first, and she also seems to be higher quality than Fubuki.

The lose hand on my Fubuki is less because of poor quality, and more because it seems she has thinner plastic/rubber around the joint there than on her other hands. I haven't had too much trouble with her armor, but they probably fixed it after the first release.

Partio your first? Nice choice lol. And higher quality? Guess I'll take your word for it :)

Hmm...know of any way to remedy the loose hands? I was thinking of getting a resizable wrench to gently squeeze the wrist bits closer together.

I can't think of anything that'd fix my dilemma >< It's just the plastic being too thin--and without making a whole new hand, I'm not sure how I'd fix it =(

Great! More competition for Mizuki now, HA! But hey, good luck in obtaining Fubuki as well, to you and Jeishi :P. Your other Shinki's doing well? Arnval and the two beetles?

Oh, yes! I'm thinking of installing locks on the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen, now! They've decided that after watching the old Robotech series that we need more giant mecha in the house so they can look me in the eye! (they're giving all the figmas ideas!! I'm totally hosed if they find out where the tools are!!)

Luckily, all the Dremel stuff and my aircraft tools are locked away in the Hobby Trailer!! (and I won't post where the keys are, I think they get online thru my iPod touch when I'm not at home) * just heard "Awww, NUTS"!! in the background as I'm typing this)

LOL! Starting to sound like Balldylox's place...
Been working on another dress dummy, this one made with Fiberglass resin.. Turned out good, though still needs a lot of sanding/finnishing. (opaque brown, as opposed to clear)
Looked like an off-white snowman for a while there last night... ^_^
Maiya is more intent on building her Neko-Megami Shrine to get into too much trouble, But I had to explain that she had to use cardboard and wood, not ferro-concrete, to build the shrine... O.o

Can't they just lock-pick their way through the locks? :P Before it's too late you should get the Figma's on your side to keep an eye on your Shinki ^^.

    Sweet! Another foxy fighter! ^_^

Just found out today that Salica is here in Ottawa. Another Dollfie owner lives in town! ^_^

BTW.. You might want to try doing Renge as an Obitsu 27cm doll. A LOT cheaper than a Dollfie, but just as customizable, maybe more so.

Awesome! This makes three (including you)?

Hmm...I'll think about that. I actually want to Dollfie'ize Varkitsu in some way as I can't draw >.< I'll consider Obitsu'ing him/her though lol. *checks the link*

Three? You mean Dollfie Parents? As far as I know, Me and Salica are the only ones with DD's. The one we saw at G-anime was an A-zone, I think... Though this makes 4 people in Ottawa that hang out on figure.fm.
