Otafest 2011!!!
So exactly what is otafest?
Otafest is an anime convention held every may-long weekend in Calgary, Alberta, Canada at the University of Calgary.
If your are to attend, you will find the usual (or unusual depending on how you see it) anime convention attributes, such as cosplay, vendors, artists, anime screening, special guests, music, and a VERY friendly community.
Vendors always have great things for sale
Artists have amazing prints for sale
Special guests for this year include:
The Fool (Electro-punk band from Japan)
Midnight-Tiako (Tiako drumming group)
THWOMP [MYSPACE] (Video game Music band)
The Community is just AWESOME!!! (otafest forums can be found [Here])
Also, since the convention takes place in the middle of May, the weather is just FANTASTIC
