Stain Warning - Beatrice's Uniform

Thought I should give everybody the heads up.
The jacket is lined in BLACK. 30 seconds of having it touch while trying to put it on stained the everloving crap out of her wrists and hands where they weren't covered by the white undershirt. Her hands literally only touched the jacket for a couple seconds before I took them off, and they still got stained.
The Volks bodystocking I had on her was also discolored by the red and black socks.
Unless you have a bodystocking that covers the doll all the way to her wrists, I don't recommend trying to put the jacket on at all.

Too bad you can not put any black color clothing without staining the body. I've tried soaking the dress in vinegar and it still gives some stains. Bodystocking helps but I am still afraid of dressing my dollfie with black clothing.
I think my GF may try to line the sleeves in white later on. That will fix the problem, but I don't know if it's worth the effort.
I don't know why they fully lined the stock outfit in white, and then messed up so bad on this other one.
did you try danny's trick of lining the clothes with plastic cling wrap before letting her wear the clothes.
It's a shame since I think this is a stunning outfit :<
I agree, I was really looking forward to having her wear it.
Jeez that's dumb ;/
Can't believe that stuff isn't lined properly. Hope you fix her up!
Yeah, it's ridiculous because it's fully lined, so it would've been no difference in effort to line it in white.
Yeah, I had to learn this the hard way. I only put her hands literally halfway through and pulled it out again and her hand was already stained. I didn't even got the stains off with magic eraser. Such a hassle now I have to do some pimple cream treatment.
Exactly the same story with us, too. My GF was putting the outfit on, turned it one way to put the arm in, turned it around and it was stained. Magic eraser got 90%, I'm going to try the pimple cream too.
how does pimple cream get stains out?
The Benzoyl Peroxide in Oxy10 and similar pimple cremes acts as a lifting agent for the stains. Since it's designed to take oils out of human skin, it does a similar job on vinyl since it is a porous material similar to skin. All you have to do is put a dab or two of Oxy10 on the affected area and let it dry. Wipe it off with a damp towel and it should have made the stain lift. If not, retreat until the stain is gone. For really large areas or dark stains, you may have to apply the creme several times. But it works wonders.
Sorry to hear about the staining. I also had trouble with staining, I put some black stockings on one of my girls for a few mins. Took them off and noticed that the lower part of her body was all stained. I tried oxy10 for a week with no result, so i tried mixing some paint to spray her lower body. At first it was ok, but later the paint started to chip off as i was moving her joints. In the end, a few weeks later i decided to remove the paint and noticed that nearly all her stains were gone. So i was just impatient with the effects of the oxy10. Later, i gave her some more coats of oxy10 to remove the remaining stains. You could get a full body stocking from Cool Cat.
Yeah, I think I will get one of the Cool Cat stockings. I was actually planning on getting one next month, since Beato wasn't supposed to come until them. I keep feeling like $40 is a lot, but I guess it's less than new arm skins, which I might need to get.
It's almost as if they are trying to sell body stockings...
Good luck with the stain removal process. It always upsets me how Volks makes their best clothes not lined. The coolcat body stockings are fantastic btw!
woah thanks for the warning (even tho I did not get that outfit) o_o yikes
it's a shame such a nice dress stains :( I didn't get it but I think that after all the staining experiences that we, doll owners, reported, they could have lined it with a light color. or either they improve the body material....
Sorry to hear about this sir. It sucks royally. I still cannot fathom how Volks can sell outfits that stain so FAST. I mean literally it took less than 30 seconds to make stains on Beatrice. That is unacceptable. Who runs the photoshoots? They HAD to know this would happen. Is it that hard to use a non staining black? Or like you said, the lined it.... but in black! Why not do a gray or white? Someone over there is asleep at the wheel in the QC department.
I hope you can get the stains out easily.
