Hi-Nu Gundoom Review pt2 and beyond!
As promised, I’m reviewing the China-made Gundam from McModels based on the Hi-Nu Gundam called “Hi-Nu Gundoom”. Most of us has this slight misconception that “if its china-made its either going to be sub-par or a bootleg”, but this Gunpla was able to break that convention and come up with something unique, and good looking as well.
This review which I'm posting here is actually a preview. Feel free and have a look around, if you like it what you see and want more pictures (because this is just 1/6th of the total amount, 63 images in my blog as opposed to her, less than 15) you can visit this site and check it out more Gundoom action.

The Gundoom has a LOT of weaponry gimmicks up its sleeve which can make even the most seasoned UC universe pilot cringing at the amount of surprises that this Gundoom has in store for them. Was able to complete this for 6 hours and 30 minutes, straight (12am to 6am)

I'm loving the simplicity found on the chest area despite the plethora of gimmicks that this gunpla has

The front and back parts of the skirts are moveable giving the legs more freedom when it comes to posing.

Glad that the eyes are standing out even from this angle. I really wish my hands were a bit more steady than usual for panelling. Painted some portions silver with a Gundam Marker

The Hi-Nu Gundam’s right arm has been outfitted with a machine gun, pretty normal looking if you ask me until you find out that its not an ordinary arm-mounted machine gun...

You can remove a part in the left arm to replace it with a HUGE beam saber that came make any Exia Gundam proud. The Hi-Nu actually has a beam saber stored inside the left arm, but I guess china decided that a small beam saber ain’t enough. Talk about anti-ship action.

Beam rifle looking more detailed than your usual black beam rifle (because its black). I actually like this rifle design among the rifles I.ve seen in the UC universe. Is that cyclindrical thing sticking on top of it an E-Cap of sorts?

Hyper Bazooka storing solid rounds I think. I find nothing really special with the hyper bazooka here, aside from being able to store it along with the shield. But that’s just me.

Finally attached it with the wings. Most drawings of the Hi-Nu is depicted with the wings folded back. I guess in battle this minimizes the risk of it getting damaged. But I prefer the unfolded one.

Gundoom looks like an angel of death this way. Reminds me of the O gundam actually hahaha. Specs-wise this was what the manual described as the “Monarch System” which allows Amuro better control over his funnels lol

Hi-NU Gundoom being fully armed to the teeth right here.
If you want to check out more pictures and content for the review of this Gunpla, you can visit this site for more details.. I hope this has helped you readers in your Gunpla purchasing decision.

the details look nice and all but ,from what im seeing here, the quality of the plastic looks cheap. this would've come out way better if it was painted.
Its actually been primed, painted, and topcoatted. yes the plastic does feel soft, but the colors are a-ok IMO. It might be the lighting =P
this was painted? O__o i see some swirls and smudges
Hmmm you're right. There are swirls, i guess i'll just have to repair that. Thanks for noticing. I'll just sandpaper the offensive stray marks whenever i have the time. Bad eyes and shaky hands don't make a good combo. Thanks for the criticism there
if you mean on the silver parts.. it appears he hand painted them.
not very well done
not quite sure wats going on here.
Those are usually seen on china made imitations.
lol.... that just a bad paintjob, thats why its like that!!!
panelling looks sloppy here
It looks nice. It will look better if it was primed.
Yo Duqs ... hats off to you for being able to work almost 7 hours straight on this Hi-Nu Gundoom... I could never work such long stretches at a time... ^_^ I really like how sharp this model looks, and for something which was assembled in just slightly more than a quarter of a day, I have to compliment you on a good job done... ;)
Thanks, but the angry marine is right. It IS sloppy hahaha. Ima send paper the offensive marks later
Take your time revisiting the minor errors Duqs... I find most of the time the fun-nest part is in the build. After that... well... it just sits there... like forever... but that's just me... LOL... ;)
SEED-fied Hi-Nu....
unless it's like a conversion kit, I don't "like" to support boot-leg.
Even if Bandai is a dick with their Gunpla gimics
It looks quite nice actually. Diggin the huge beam sword thing lol. How are the joints? O_o
i have this also, the joints a very good and nicely tight!! :)(good quality polycap)
Good job I'll be finishing mine soon, but yeah I recommend you paint it or top coat it.
Oh actually just read some of the comments, try spray paint if you don't have airbrush for areas or colors that don't like to be brushed!
I'll most likely get my own some time down the line, and do a full airbrush job on it, shading and all.
But yeah I'd suggest using some form of spray method for colors. I hear the white plastic on this Gundoom gives off a yellowish color...
i wish this was sold everywhere... want one sooo badly... im refusing the MG model, as i love the ultimate beam saber this gundam has!
u can't order it online?? @_@
i can, but then id have to wait weeks before receiving it... i want to buy it, then build it lol
well.... its better than getting nothing at all, we just have to a little patience especially in gunpla!!:D
