05/06/11 - Desk Diary (home office/work office)

It has only been a few days since I joined figure.fm but have already met so many amazing people... a big hello to everyone that has visited and left kind words in my first two posts:

Ok, let's dive straight into this post. Now, I love every single one of Danny aniki's Culture Japan posts BUT my favorite FAVORITE series of posts is the Desk Diary posts where Danny shows us his ever changing office. Taking some inspiration from him, I thought I'd quickly show my two offices.
First, three photos of my work work office where those of you with sharp eyes will be able to spot a couple anime items haha. The other pics are of my home office where you can see like Danny-sama, I share a love for Mac products. Kinda cool to see the office slowly grow over the past couple of yrs.
To wrap up, a picture of nom nom like Danny loves to do haha and a teaser of my next figure.fm post. I am thinking of doing an entry on "The Otaku Backpack" where I show what I carry around with me on a daily basis AND post some great macro photography of anime figs. Please leave a comment if you like this Office post and if you like the Otaku backpack idea. Nice! Since you've had a lot of interest in Danny's posts, I'm sure you've run into some of his beautiful 'daughters' (aka Dollfie Dream dolls) have you ever thought of adopting one? ;D
Haha, Danny's 'daughters' are indeed very beautiful but i seem to only collect a small subset of anime figures sadly... i have a feeling if I did 'adopt' a Dollfie tho, i'd spend all day looking for new clothes and stuff for her to wear and then prob get fired from my job XD

In his last Desk Diary, he had a few Macbook Pros in the closet. How many people do you know of have a couple spare Macbook Pros waiting to be used? :P

wow good eye my friend, a fellow audiophile? :D yup Denon AH-D5000s, amazing cans <3
I won't consider myself an audiophile (yet), but I love my music on good headphones. xD
Thought the cans seemed to be of a pretty familiar design as I used to trawl the head-fi forums searching for a pair of cheaper Denons...in the end I settled for a pair of Senns though.
I like the bass off of these but the sound quality isn't that good
totally agree, i almost never use them to be honest, the Bowers and Wilkims MM-1s are my primary desktop speakers when i am not using my Denon AH-D5000 cans w/ Headroom Micro Dac and Amp <3

I also use a Razer DeathAdder! (I think that's what you have there, yes?) I love it so much. Also, are you using the Razer Lycosa keyboard? How do you like it? I've been considering getting one. I've also been thinking about getting that same camera! I don't own a DSLR yet but it looks like it'd be a nice one to start with. I also see you have that rad picture of Sindragosa hanging up in your cube. ^_^ And I love your Spike Spiegel figure!
thank you so much for your kind words! (your artwork is amazing btw, i am on your deviantart page right now keke) the keyboard is not bad, kinda weird to use at work but sometimes I play WoW or SCII so it is nice haha... it is very responsive and the cool blue lighting matches the mouse lol

heh cubicles are the japanese way XD there are offices as well but i prefer working alongside my team, offices are kinda elitist XD
yes I guess that could be said. I like open spaces myself... I share 1 large office with couple of programmers and a writer, but no cubical's :3
