Dollfie Credit Card

Posted by Fisheye

I wanted to personalize my credit/debt cards a bit, so I dedicated one to my girls. Since it was approved I'll probably make the other one dedicated to the rest of my girls. I tired to make one of a nendoroid but it got denied. I'm not sure why. Here are the results. I thought it turned out pretty good.

Has anyone ever personalized their card before?

Nice pic! Your Nendo pic was probably denied because the character is copyrighted. They're real sticklers about that. Figures and other anime related images probably won't work either, for the same reason.

I tried immortalizing Yumiko and Z on a card. Capital One said "no can do." Eventually I settled with a picture of a black kitten. Dang. It's like Z is a custom, he's a figment of my own ridiculous imagination. They might be hip to Volks' copyrights on Yukino though.

That's sweet. I'm surprised they let it pass. I read over the rules and they said no "Cartoon" looking photos. Now that I see yours I might try again to get one printed and see what happens. :)

Let's just say it wasn't easy to get it accepted. Took me around a month and 5 visits to the bank's closest office. :D

I didn't realize WF did custom images, I wonder if I can do one on my debit, since my credit cards aren't through them. I'd probably just put one of my normal photos on it though, I don't have the stones to whip out a dollfie or anime credit card, haha. Maybe I'd use one of my Japan photos for that little bit of Otaku-ness without being obvious.

That is adorable and awesome! I don't have any girls and all my character goods are copyrighted so I won't be able to try that. Still though, bravo!

Thanks. From what I have researched most credit card companies will let you personalize your cards. Give it a shot and see if you can. If you do end up making one post it for us :)

Banks in the UK have allowed people to do this in the past, providing they do not break Copyright laws, but normally after a while (up to a year) they pukll the idea, because they say it was not popular or the most common being "EXPENSIVE" to do.
