Figure Surgery again

Posted by microgamer2vs2 [www]

I bought the lovely pair of R+V cast-off figures at this year's Fanime. They fit really well with the rest of my collection, but when I was removing their shirts, unsightly glue was leftover from the cast. Anyone have any ideas on how to remove it? It's not something I can just pick at sadly, so perhaps some kinda of chemical solution? I was considering figure surgery before, but this is a pretty noticeable defect. Besides, I'm prolly gonna get a lot of crap if/when my friends see these new cast-off figures, so I could do without jokes in regards to white substances.

Mouseover = load notes.

I decided to display cast-off because the PE shirts were very boring, and they looked very thick like a wool-sweater but short-sleeved. Gotta love the lace on their undergarments.

    Try hammer. BIG hammer and chisel with delicate touch.

      LOL. This post is really funny if you don't read it all the way through, but I'm exactly the type of person to skim a sentence and misunderstand sentences. I'm also the kind of person who enjoys humor like using a giant hammer to fix a small problem. I get what you're really saying and thanks for the advice, but I'm not sure if I trust my delicate hammer/chisel skills.

    a bit of white spirit, then some matches = fwooosh!!! no more glue LOL! Kidding aside, apply a bit of white spirit on the glue, wait a few minutes, then wipe off with a clean rag.

        At your local hardware store, look in the paint section.
