Meet my 4th Daughter ~ Sakura Matou
Hello everyone! ^_^ My DD family just recently grew by one more! I'm super happy about it, not sure about my bank account though...lol. But I had been looking around on eBay and seen a listing for a Sakura Matou DD being sold in the US. The price was pretty high, but the seller did include all 3 of her extra outfits (unopened) along with the Sakura DD. So I ended up checking the auction everyday and she ended up re-listing her again and when it was about to end again I contacted the seller, found out the info I wanted and went for it. :)
Now Sakura is safe and sound in her new home. The seller was really nice and it's the first time I've bought anything that the seller included a note with her, plus a little bonus figure to keep Sakura company while she was on her journey. :)
Instead of a box opening post I tried my hand at an introduction type post. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures and seeing Sakura meet her 3 new sisters. I know Yuki, Allison, and Sara are very happy to have such a famous new sister. ^_^
Hello! My name is Sakura Matou and it's very nice to meet you. I'm very honored that you are welcoming me into your home.
Here is a note from my previous owner. They wanted me to give you this and a big thank you for adopting me. I'm really happy to be meeting you and that you will be my new mom.
Me: Thank you very much Sakura! You are very sweet and well mannered. I'm very happy that you are joining my dollfie family. That was very nice of your previous owner to send such a nice note. Thank you very much for holding it so everyone can read it.
Sakura: You're very welcome! I'm really looking forward to seeing the rest of my new home.
Sakura: Here's the box my little travel buddy came in. It's a very cute figure of Rider. It was nice to have her join me on my journey.
Sakura: Here she is! Thank you for putting her together for me.
Me: You are very welcome, I'm glad she was able to keep you company so you wouldn't get lonely.
Sakura: Isn't she the cutest? I can't wait to show her to my new sisters!
Sakura: That's right, I was told I was going to have 3 sisters. Is it all right if I meet them now?
Me: Of course! I believe they are all in the computer room watching a DVD. I'll be more than happy to show you were they are so you all can meet.
Me: Hello girls! I see everyone is super comfy watching the movie. Is everyone enjoying the snacks I got for you?
Allison: Yes very much! These combos are very delicious.
Yuki: I'm loving these Jelly Belly jelly beans, so sweet and yummy.
Sara: Thank you for the lollipop mom. It's very good.
Me: Yuki what are you girls watching?
Yuki: We are watching Fate/Stay Night! It's very good, with some really awesome characters!
Me: Well that's lucky and works out good.
Yuki: Huh?
Me: There is someone I want you girls to meet.
Me: Everyone I want you to meet your newest sister Sakura.
Sakura: Hello everyone! It's very nice to meet everybody!
Sara: Oh wow a new sister! You know she looks familar.
Allison: You are right Sara, she does look familar!
Allison: Oh my goodness! She is the same Sakura from Fate/Stay Night!!! Look there on the screen it's her!
*All the girls quickly look at the screen*
Yuki: It is her! Wow we have a famous new sister!
Sara: No way! Is that really the same girl? They do look so much alike though.
Allison: Hi! it's so nice to meet you! My name is Allison. Wow I can't believe Sakura Matou is actually here.
Sakura: *giggles* You are too kind. I'm very pleased to meet you Allison!
Yuki: Wow Sakura! You are so pretty in person. I'm very pleased to meet you. My name is Yuki.
Sakura: It's very nice to meet you Yuki. You are just too sweet. You are pretty famous too right? You are a great pop singer. I just love hearing you sing.
Yuki: *blushes* Awwwww thank you Sakura! I'm honored you recognize me and love my singing.
Sara: Hi there! It's really nice to meet you. My name is Sara.
Sakura: It's nice to meet you too Sara. You have such a cute outfit on.
Sara: Awww thank you! I like yours too. But that isn't what you wear in the show.
Sakura: Ahhh I know, your mom was nice enough to find me a different outfit to wear to meet everyone. I'll be sure to model my clothes from the show later on.
Sakura: I'm just happy to meet everyone. This really seems like a wonderful new home for me.
Sakura: By the everyone if you gather around. I want to show you my travel buddy, Rider.
Sara: Awwwww she's so cute!
Yuki: That's so sweet you had a little buddy while you traveled.
Allison: Thanks so much for showing her to us. She really is adorable.
Allison: By the way we want to give you some welcome presents! Here is one of the cute bunnies our mom got us for Easter.
Sara: Here you can have this yummy lollipop.
Yuki: Here is our cute little chibi tiger. He a super sweet buddy to snuggle up with.
Sakura: Awwwww Thank you so much everyone! That is just too sweet you giving me gifts.
Me: How about a new family picture?
Everyone: Sounds great!
Me: Okay everyone get ready! All of you look beautiful! I'm so happy to have such 4 wonderful daughters now!

Me: Everyone cuddle up close! Awwwww everyone looks terrific! Welcome again to the family Sakura. I hope you will enjoy your new home! :)

You're very welcome. :D I want a Sakura as well. I've been looking and keeping my eye open for one for a while now. :D Yuki is a cutie and I would get one if I find one, too. Almost got Alna at one time, too. I don't know who the other cutie is, though. :D
The other cutie is a custom DD that I purchased from a fellow Figure.fm memeber. :) It is probably throwing you off because she use to wear a pink wig. But I switched to this blonde one for now. Yuki was the first dollfie I fell for and really got me into finding out more about them. It was very lucky that I was able to make Yuki my first dollfie. Alna is a real beauty, I think I helped improve the looks of this white Christmas version of Alna with the wig change. And Sakura is a great girl too. Very pretty in person and a great addition to any DD family. :)
Ah, okay. She does look familiar. I just don't know her. That's all. All your girls are very cute and sweet. I want more as well. Of course, the money is always an issue! LOL :/

You got it right, it most certainly is. :D I had bought it originally just for Allison, but I thought I would give it a try on Sakura. I think it looks pretty good on her. I remember that you have been wanting this set for a long time now. I really hope you can find it for your girls. :)
I knew it! I love that outfit so much! I'm actually in the middle of trying to get the one thats been on Mandarake for months. I went and ordered it and am still waiting for an email from them showing me a total to pay. So far its been 4 days and no word back from them. T_T
That's strange they usually e-mail you back asking for payment in about one day. At least they sure don't hesitate to get me my bill...lol. I've never had to wait that long before. I think they are doing some updates on that site. Maybe that might be causing the delay. I really hope you get it. To get it with them would be great. So that way you don't have to deal with a deputy service and have all those extra fees. T_T
Well, it seems their second email to me was sent to my junk email folder in Gmail. They sent it Friday. The email said my order had been cancelled due to the item not being available. Which means it was sold in the store and the online listing had not been updated. So yet again, I miss out on that outfit. :( Ah well, back to hunting another one down....

Ha ha! Typical DD's, sitting around watching TV and snacking! XD
LOL! XD That's pretty much the only thing my girls do. It helps keep them busy since I seem to be at work so much. Except most of the time they are laying on my bed watching TV. I had them gather up in this room to make it a bit easier to get the pictures I wanted. :)

LOL!!!!! This comment made me laugh super hard! XD I know that tiger looks super insane...lol. When I was going through the pics I couldn't help but laugh in one of them it looks like he is trying to eat Yuki's head...lol.

The seller sounds really nice! I do recall seeing your Sakura on ebay since you mentioned her having all her outfits and such. I hope you got a good deal! And I can't wait to see her in all her different outfits. =3
Ok, please don't take this the wrong way but.... are you going to fix her eye? Her left eye looks like it's down too far or something. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, I wasn't sure if you even noticed it or not since you just got her and all. I know when I'm all jazzed up and excited, I don't notice small details. =3

Ahhh I knew I gave a good hint of what was arriving. :D I know she is very pretty in person. I'm very glad I decided to go ahead and get her. It's also nice having a girl from an anime I like very much. So she is like a little super star to me...lol.
The seller was real nice, still waiting to get Sakura's dark outfit though. She had to ship it seperate because it didn't fit in the box she shipped Sakura in. I guess it was an okay deal. Sakura is now the most expensive girl I've bought now. x.X But I keep telling myself, but she came with all 3 outfits unopened.
That's okay that you pointed out poor Sakura's lazy eye...lol. Honestly I didn't notice the problem with the eye when I got her out of the box and dressed. It wasn't until I took these pics and posted that I noticed that her eye looked strange. I will have to try and pop her head cap off and see if it's the original hot glue from Volks or putty. The seller never mentioned anything about switching her eyes. So it may just be a bit a fluke. I won't know until I get her head cap off. You will have to wish me luck when I go to attempt Sakura's eye surgery. I've never messed with changing out or fixing the eyes before on my girls. o.0 I just hope I don't make it worse. Have any tips you can share?
Thanks again for all the comments and the congrats. I know if I keep this up my room will be overflowing with DD girls...lol. But I think Sakura will be the last one for the moment until I recover from purchasing her. She made me super happy, but made my poor bank account cry. T_T....lol.
At least the seller was good. If I overpay on something I at least want to get treated well to make the sting a bit easier to handle. So it looks like you did fine.
Yeah, I noticed it right away but I figured with you being so excited, you may not have seen the eye. I can bet it's the Volks glue coming undone. I see it all the time too. Jun97's Rei had the same issue and so did a Kanu we both dealt with. So it should be that nasty glue Volks uses. It gets really slimy and sticky in there so be prepared to do some cleaning. My best advice is to take your time doing it and use some adhesive putty that you can get at any corner drugstore in the school or office supply area to replace the glue. It's what I used on Mamimi and its great.
As for the tuff to remove head cap, just use a butter knife on it. Take your time and if you have a hair dryer, use it on low for a minute or so to make it more supple. Then use the edge of the butter knife to gently pry the cap off. If you only have 2 notches in it, do 2 more, it won't affect how it stays on but will make it easier to get on and off. I had to do that to a few of my girls.
Thank you very much for all of your helpful tips! When I get some free time and the putty I will be sure to get Sakura's eye fixed. I felt bad for posting pics of her with that messed up eye, but I just wanted to show her off so bad. Hopefully I can get her fixed so I can give her a better photo shoot that does her more justice. :)
