Megurine Luka Itasha at Formula Drift Singapore 2011 by Team Exotic Drift
If in Russian Drift we got Miku itasha, in Asian Drift we got Megurine Luka instead :o. I wonder when can we see Mirai on a competition car lol XD
Photos taken at F1 Pit Building, Marina Bay, Singapore, during Formula Drift Singapore 2011 today (June 11 2011). All 3 Luka Itasha belong to Team Exotic Drift:
81 - Ivan Lim - Singaporean - Nissan S15
34 - Ser Ming Hui (Ah Fai) - Malaysian - Nissan 180SX
69 - Ang Teck Ee Winston - Singaporean - Nissan S15
(at least those are what was written ... in reality I don't think I can differentiate those cars yet XD, I'm still new at this ...)
Originally I planned to drag a friend to come along, but alas, everybody seem to be either busy or just plain not interested, even though I got an extra free 2-day grandstand ticket (-_-). I still keep the extra one though, in case somebody want to hop in tomorrow (or maybe one of you guys here want to grab it? :P).
Okay, enough talk, here are the photos:

One car after a screw-up ... It was raining in the morning and the ground was very slippery. For the same reason, we didn't get to see a lot of smoke too until it started to dry up.

About the only successful picture of car 81 (Ivan Lim). If you're wondering why, this event was my first time trying panning shot ....... with a very high chance of failure m(_ _)m. The side of this car during the pit session was too crowded with people getting their photos taken. Let's see if I can be luckier on Sunday ... (he passed the prelim, .... right?)

Close-up of the side.

Close-up of the hood.

Their show car also carried Luka liveries, although only one on the hood.

Oooh..... If i new this I bring my Luka cosplaying doll over to shoot
Still possible tomorrow :)
this one is the 180sx or S13 but due to the front lights its often called a S13.5
180sx and s13 id different.
S13 is the boxy lamps driven by iketani
I think you meant to say the Sil-80 of S15fronts+180sx rear
So the non pop up lights with the hatch end is sil-80 ? and the ichigo conversion is the S15 front end on which one?
i was refering to the pic that you tagged , mr carexpert
This one is a Toyota Soarer, or Lexus SC series state side
Wow, thanks for the info! :)
you're welcome
nice to see some more itasha in competition cars just wish would see some in formula D NA
I would like to do that to my daily driver over here in the States, but it would get keyed badly probably after the first week.... T.T
Sadly yeah that would most likely happen, would do that do a project car though don't think would do it to my daily
That's an interesting point of view I haven't actually thought of. That's kind of sad T_T.
Yeah, it would be nice to see more ... although I suppose it's a question of whether the person/sponsor with the influence wish to do so.
次は、鈴音たちの車が2台同時に出場とかしないかな?w
それは鏡音リン ・レンの事ですか?確かにそれは面白い光景になるでしょうww
That car is fit! XD
Until the bumper went off, that was ... XD
let the invasion continue!
