Central European Alliance - Mobile Infantrymen
It's been awhile since I last post here, but it's also been quite some time since I post my 1/6 kitbash. This is an ongoing sci-fi kitbash project which I brainstormed out of a random kitbash I made from my parts bin but ended up becoming a serious kitbash of its own.
The fictional timeline is set in alternate history A.D. 2002, 3 years after the detonation of an unknown weapon that left Europe and Russia trapped in an inescapable void. Air and sea travel became impossible as attempts to leave the continent or escape the earth’s atmosphere caused men and vehicles to become crushed by a mysterious phenomenon similar to deep sea pressure. Old governments, embattled and under siege since the fall of communism in 1991 collapsed shortly after, replaced with new unified factions. These factions fight not only for territorial control but also to uncover the mystery that left the continent disconnected from the rest of the world.
I plan on making four factions for this kitbash. The first faction featured here is the Central European Alliance (CEA). Formed by the countries of Central Europe, the CEA is led by what used to be Austria. Their specialization is electronic warfare, stealth technology, and rapid mobilization.
The figure represents the standard equipment of a typical CEA Mobile Infantrymen. The CEA are known for their ability to deploy at a moment’s notice, often catching enemy factions off-guard. The CEA’s arrival into an enemy faction’s territory is sudden as with their speed of withdrawing their forces, leaving their enemies confused and in disarray. They strike lightly but effectively.

The smiley grenade was deliberately added to this figure to inject irony into the universe’s grim and uncertain future.

Nice set. I think the AUG is my favorite piece of the lot.
1/6 AUGs are difficult to come by these days. A Japanese company by the name of Aoshima has made a set of Steyr AUGs in various configurations but they're very hard to find.
