Kidou Senshi Gundam AGE new anime officially announced!

みなさんこんにちは! I know that some of you probably heard about this news a while ago but since I didn't see any posts about it yet, I wanted to share with everyone the good news. A new Gundam anime series has been announced and here's some info about it.

All the info came from Cybergundam blog. http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/iam-cybergundam/index?&page=1

Even though I read a lot of bad comments about it, I look forward to seeing it. It looks really interesting. But, it's all a matter of taste and opinions

It definitely looks like it but still, might be interesting. Well, a lot of anime are basically aimed at children, still, it doesn't stop grown man and women to watch them!! XD

That opening was totally a reference to Zeta Gundam! The three MP baddies, one with a special color scheme, landing on the exterior of a colony... Totally Zeta.

I'm not worried. When the next series in 2013 airs everyone will hate it before watching a single episode, the 00 Trailblazer movie would become as popular as Char's Counterattack and AGE would be the new 0079.

We Gundam fans are weird like that. XD

eh, I am willing to try anything. I mean, i sure hated the design of Kamen Rider W, but the story is damn good

I know it's a bit off topic but what do you think of Kamen Rider 000? W was great even with weird design. Favorite Kamen Rider series of all time are, in order, Decade, Black and Ryuki.

so I am pretty sure I am unqualified to talk about Kamen Rider, since I've only seen:

        -Kabuto
        -Den-O
        -Kiva (1/4 of it)
        -Decade
        -W
        -OOO (ongoing)

In those, my favorite design is Kabuto. None of the series contain my favorite ultimate form. Favorite story is W. Favorite overall is Den-O (but it's definitely kiddy recently). So now to OOOs. I really liked the beginning. Recently, it has been slumping, and has pretty much killed my admiration and hopes of becoming the best Kamen Rider I have seen ever.

I've just recently started to like tokusatsu series even thought I knew Super Sentais and Kamen Riders for at least 15 years. It started when I got my hand on some Ryuki episodes and found out how mature those shows really where. (well, not all of them or all the time, but still, very interesting stories and character developments out there!

Hmmmm... not too sure on this one, like otaku dan said, feels as though its a kids show, kinda deviates from the usual gundam themes. others will go postal on this one.

    but I'll still watch it

I agree... It's just that its design makes it more friendly towards children.

Of course, those UE mobile suits is screaming aliens now after that 00 Trailblazer movie!

Victory looked like a kid's show too back in the days, but ended up really weird... ZZ had it's share of "childish" moments too. But for me, I try to see the good and bad of everything, since it can't be all good, or all bad. Everything is just shades of grey! XD

Kid show yes....For all ages...hell yeah. The character designs are like that of professor layton which kind'a ticlkes my fancy, giving it an oldschool feel. I'm looking forward to this new series.

I dunno guys, I'm really iffy on this one. I mean I was never a huge fan of 00, although I really liked the suits, it's just it seems like each series the art is getting simpler, and simpley. I really miss like the Stardust Memory art style, really gritty, and really detailed- although Gundam Unicorn utilizes the new art style, but it doesn't loose it's 80's flair. I'll definatley watch it, but since I don't have sound on my PC right now, I have no idea what they're saying.

:D You found something interesting from at least one aspect of this Gundam universe. So maybe the story won't appeal to you but you may still like the designs of the suits. Some will probably hate the design but end up liking the characters. I know I'm very interested in this new one, but do miss the gritty look of the 80s and 90s anime, like 0080 War in the Pocket or, even if many hated it, Endless Waltz, which looked very dark and detailed compared to the Anime/TV version. A more "mature" side of the series. But frankly, it's only a matter of opinion, and those above are juts some of my views on the subject. XD WOW o_0 Wall of text!! Sorry!

Ha I watched it on my iPhone which has sound, it seems really interesting actually- the equipment scenario system seems really cool, I've come around on the suit, which looks really cool, reminds me of Gundam X for some reason, I hated it at first, but now I love X's design
