That Hayate The Combat Butler Taiwanese TV Drama is so...UNKABOGABLE!
Aired in June 19, 2011, the Taiwanese TV Drama version of my favorite Hayate The Combat Butler stars George Hu as Hayate, You're Beautiful star Park Shin Hye as Nagi, and Tia Li as Maria. There are others. When I saw the first episode, it was like wow, it follows the same chemistry as the manga and anime but with some minor changes. Well what do you think? Does the TV Drama version of Hayate The Combat Butler exceeds expectations?

NICE BIKE STUNT!

That's George Hu

That's Park Shin Hye.

And that's Tia Li.

They kidnapped miss Nagi-ojousama!

Nagi: HAYATE!!!

Nice scenery!

Park Shin Hye's getting a bit serious...

That drama version is so good, I might want to watch the next episode and I bet George Hu's acting wasn't so bad after all.

Blind ~
Give my Nagi back
What's wrong?
Too tall
Nice to hear that there's some positive feedback. I've been looking for something to watch in Mandarin to practice my listening skills so hopefully there'll be some english subs soon.
few days ago i was just speculating that drama is from hayate story
so that's true
lol
Won't accept it, they messed up Nagi.
Nagi is supposed to be the "tsundere ohime-sama loli" character.
Although I am no lolicon, I greatly would have preferred they chose a child actor for Nagi.
After all, one of the main themes is the flustered 13 year old tsundere falling for the 16 year old guy that has no idea whats he gotten himself into.
Her cute pigtails charm is also gone.
Theres nothing special about Maria. Hayate is just passable.
After all, hes just a regular student, nothing special.
The only thing I liked about Hayate's actor is that he has that refreshing innocent youth look.
Overall, it's a bad idea to watch any dramas based on an anime/manga.
If you saw the live action of Negima, you'd know what I mean.
Woah, adult Nagi?
I suppose there will be a different ending for the drama.
Hope it won't become too lovey-dovey and deviate from the slapstick as episodes progress.
(I say the same to the Arakawa Under the Bridge live-action too)
i'll give this a try, since i'm quite a fan of Park Shin Hye this is gonna be quite interesting
Well, I'm glad that you watched the first episode.
Although I'm not gonna watch the series because I'm skeptical of the transition to live-action drama.
has the whole "loli" thing turn into an adult drama....well at least the characters more mature..
"Production effect, Do not replicate"
At least give her blonde twin tails lol
as usual, live adaptation of anime/manga outside of japan gonna sux with very exception. this is just the first episode and i dont think it will stay faitful to the manga after a few episodes
