(Nendoroid) Yako Katsuragi

Posted by Dcal [www]

There’s a reason why I don’t really buy figurines. Because I know I won’t stop once I’ve started. =_= Unfortunately, my heart just couldn’t resist the lovely Nendoroids . There is something irresistible about these chibi figurines. -grins- Granted, not all of them are great, but most of them are just so damn adorable! They just make me squee!

One particular nendoroid caught my eye and it was none other than Yako Katsuragi, from Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro . I liked the anime and Yako, mostly due to her personality which is something akin to mine. -lol- I had the impression that the series wasn’t that popular, but looking up google and the likes, it seems that I had misjudged it. Anyway, I totally love the cute chibi version of Yako!!

A compilation of pictures that were taken when I first laid hands on little Yako. Taken with my digital point-and-shoot camera. =)

This set of photographs were taken with a DSLR under lovely natural lighting. The colours turned out great and minimal Photoshopping was required. ^^ More figurines will appear in later posts as I have decided to upload the images in batches according to figurine.

So for now... here's Yako at play!

I think it's cool how I can mix up the accessories for Figmas and Nendoroids.

There was more than one camera in action.

Any guesses to whose props Yako are manhandling?

Thanks! Still trying to get used to the whole thing. *wonders how long it would take to upload a 80+ pictures photoshoot*

... You know, you can upload multiple images to one thread. Eliminating the clutter on the main page.

Go to the 'upload' tab and once the page loads, select the newly spawned 'blog' tab.

You can see and edit all of your threads. Hope that helps.

    Haha, awesome!
Glad to know there's another Singaporean who take their Nendos and Figmas out into the public and snap away =3

-lol- Yup. We should synchronize some sort of mass photo-taking session. It'll be cool to have a whole bunch of people with Nendos and Figmas terrorizing the public with avid photography. =D

I'm not familiar with the anime, but she looks cute with the cutlery accessory. It's very tempting to pick up nendoroids. They aren't very costly (compared to scaled figures) and they are quite cute when you pose them around.

They aren't that expensive (in comparison) and make great companions to bring around town. ^^ Even people who don't watch Anime find the little Nendos adorable!

Yeah! I think I have picked up almost a dozen Nendos (some pre-ordered and on their way) since the start of my obsession which begin in Jan 09. And my collection just keeps growing with Playsets and some random Figmas. =D

Strange... I can't seem to reply to your last comment. =x Anyhoo, since I'm from Singapore, I actually pre-order them at a local shop,KKnM, at sunshine plaza. I would love to get my hands on Rin and Itoshiki (from Zetsubou Sensei). But I'm too lazy to figure out how to do so online. =P

LOL. Probably there is too much replies. >.<

Ooooo. Ic. The current place I am staying doesn't have stores, so my only method is to order online. My hometown has a few stores but the prices are a little cut throat I feel.

If you want to do it online, go to Tenso.com. I believe you will find your answers there. Or just do a search on dannychoo.com about Tenso. ^^, Hope this helps you. Cheers!

Nooooooo! Not the Ahoge! I broke a neck joint (ironic) and a connector thing for my Schoolroom playset. In addition, I got paint scraped off both Nagi (Kannagi) and Louise (Zero no Tsukaima) because they bummed into each other. T-T
