Miku Hatsune + itunes
Hey, mac users! Do you feel that you just don't have enough anime / miku related add-ons for your mac? well, look no further! today I bring to you...
Hachune Tunes puts Miku Hatsune right into your OSX dock! Start up hachune tunes, play a song in itunes, and miku will begin to wave her leek back and forth in your dock! You can make miku adapt to swing her leek to the BPM of the song you are playing. Also, you can adjust the speed at which her leek is waved (all of this can be done in her preferences).
For those who want: she can be found at her site

Miku in your dock

I believe Hachune Tunes is compatible with OS 10.3.9 to 10.5.5. I am not sure if she is compatible with snow leopard, for I don't have a computer running OS 10.6. All credit goes to her creators.
Enjoy! ^^

Its compatible with snow leopard, just tried it out and love it! ^^
SWING that leek Miku. XD
Oh, cool! ^^
Just downloaded - so awesome! And when you pause the music she stops waving her leek, then she starts again when you press play. So cute! Will have to get rid of some of my icons so she appears larger on the icon menu xD
Awesome find!
That's such a cute idea. XD Too bad I hate the dock, I think it's kind of weird. >_>
I just tried it and I'm not that impressed. I started it and thought "what would be good for testing the reek swinging?". I came up with Ride of the valkyries by Wagner. After all it's a good classical piece where the speed goes up and down. The sound intensity also varies quite a lot.
The result was a disappointing constant reek speed. The only way I can tell a difference is when I pause iTunes, then the Miku freezes. I was expecting her to change animation speed based on the music.
Besides my dock is too crowded for something like this. Miku ended up being Micro :P
I think the reason for a constant leek swinging speed is that in the itunes metadata there is only one set of beats per minute for the entire song. I believe hachune tunes reads the itunes metadata and adapts to the BPM that is set. itunes metadata isn't set to have multiple beats per minute for a song... oh well.
Then this app is based on a concept, which is broken by design. It will never work well >_<
