Los Angeles CGM Night 2 (aka Culture Japan x Fakku! Meetup)

After blowing the rest of my money in the exhibit hall (Only took an hour T-T) I went to the Meetup that was held in collaboration with Fakku, a website dedicated to keeping us "healthy." Here's what I managed to snap before my SD cards decided to fill up on me. It was a pleasure to meet some of my comrades from the site, and I hope to do it again soon~

Three out of five ain't bad. L to R: Z Yamamoto, Alicia Yumiko Natsume, Mitzi Chun. Z and Mitzi are Obitsus, and absolutely charmed the folks at the Obitsu booth in the Exhibit Hall. Yumiko is a DD2, and as soon as I can swing it, a DD3. Yes, they have re-engineered the DD base body with the same improvements as DD Sister.

So good to see all my awesome LA Ota-zoku peeps!!! This was an awesome event. And yes, girls, it was female-friendly.

Likewise, Danny. Too bad time was limited and yours was super-limited, but completely understandable considering all of what you were doing with AX. BTW AX, IMHO, was a lot better managed and a whole lot more fun than AX 2010.

Oh hey, cool! I'm in a few pictures...though kind of obscured, haha. My friend zaockle was with me. The meet-up was great, and it was wonderful to meet in-person with both Danny Choo and Jacob. Even got a photo-op with them!

Oh that was YOUR boy????? Heh heh heh, of course you'd say that. I felt really bad when I saw someone knock that ZipIt v2 down. I have one, just have to "liberate" it from the locked-down stock system. I want to set up either a slideshow or a looping video that will look like the doll is actually surfing around on it. Yeah, a little bit thick as lappies go. But it works, which makes it super cool.
I do have an iPod Touch. In the hands of a 1/3-scale doll, it looks like an iPad. So I do have something real and electronic that I can show off with my vinyl family.
Yes, he's ours (my wife was dressed in that pink-violet kimono).
iPad really wouldn't work for a guy like BPS, though. He's all for unconventional hardware that can do cool nontraditional things.
Apple's "walled garden" approach really ruins the hardware for the likes of BPS.
Some hospitals, however, are using iPad as a hand-held terminal for doctors and nurses to access patient records. Since it does WPA2 and VPN it's a fine choice for that application. Mitzi just graduated from LA Valley College with not one, but two majors: Nursing and Media Arts.
