Anime Expo 2011 Days 2 and 3
(Picture Heavy!) A few days ago I had posted my photos from the Culture Japan x Fakku! Meetup, so now here are the other photos I've snapped from the days I was at AX11. If you haven't already, check out my coverage of Danny's Meetup, as well as the loot I scored from the exhibit hall.
Once again, please excuse my picture-taking skills and the quality of the photos, as I do not do post-processing (Don't have the software ><'')

The line for badge pick-up. We got there at about 6:30am by chance, so we were first in line.

The line to acquire tickets for Mikunopolis, the Hatsune Miku concert held at the Nokia Theatre. 100 extra tickets were available for purchase, so there were some hopefuls lined up. Luckily, I had bought mine the day the tickets initially went on sale a few months ago.

The Mikunopolis ticket. My seat was pretty bad (More on that later).

The line for the exhibit hall. I was very eager to get in there as soon as it opened in order to try for a Hatsune Miku Support ver. Nendoroid for which they have limited stock of.

A picture of a Hello Kitty doll cosplaying as Hatsune Miku at the Mikunopolis booth. Stood in line for an hour starting at 10 (sales started at 11) for the Support Ver. Miku. Was one of the few lucky ones.

The exhibit hall is one of my favorite places of the convention, as I love collecting. Loads and loads of awesome merchandise for me to trade money for.

A nice Luka cosplay.

Gundam!

Po Pi Po, anyone?

Very cute Miku cosplayer with a Miku Itasha.

A huge advertisement for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

If anyone can tell me what this is, I would greatly appreciate it ^^

One of my favorite cosplay from the entire convention. She fits the Little Sister part perfectly. My question is, where is Mr. Bubbles?

The Artist Alley was moved to the back of the Exhibit hall this year, as opposed to the right side. Lots of talent here.

Ran into Danny around the exhibit hall. Turns out he was on his way to do an interview for Mnet, the network that is broadcasting "Culture Japan" here in America.

A very beautiful Mirai Itasha.

Serious Danny is serious.

My seat at the Mikunopolis concert. As you can see, I was put fairly far back. However, my friend who happened to snag one of the extra 100 tickets sat close to the middle-front, about where the left edge of the picture is. It was a little upsetting.

Though, that did not stop me from chanting, cheering, yelling and waving glowsticks like a madman. One for each of them.

The aftermath. The concert, in my opinion, was amazing. I will never forget it as long as I live. Even now my voice is still messed up by how much I was cheering. Loved Vocaloid for a while now, but the concert only served to amplify it 10 fold.

A promotional cushion that was given out to ticket holders after the concert.

On to day 3. Parked at the South Hall garage instead of the West this time (mirrored last year, oddly..).

The Miku Itasha that was in the South Hall Lobby.

Gorgeous dollfies cosplaying in different Mirai outfits at the Kid Nemo booth.

Best Miku cosplay at the convention. Period.

What this was I had no idea.

A Super Smash Bros. Meetup I am guessing.

Nice Gumi cosplay.

So many hard choices..

I'd love to get my hands on this one.

Poor Ellis..

...and Zoey.

I so wish I could find her on the interwebs somewhere T-T

I really liked this cosplay of Taiga. She just has that feel. She even fit the height!

An amazing Edward.

Was still extremely crowded, even for being Sunday.

Menma!!!

The last shot of the convention as we were driving home. It was blast, and I can't wait to attend again next year.

This is Long Cat.
Thank you! ^^
I thought it was Kyuubey ^^;
LOL, well most of the characters I see here are from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni... guess they were tired from the LA heat...
Yeah, tickets for the Miku concert were first come first serve as far as when you picked up your tickets at the booth. Even if you were one of the people to secure a ticket online, you had to pick up your tickets early to get a good seat. At the very least, people who reserved tickets online didn't have to pay $40 for them at-con.
True. Still was a little upsetting, though. Ah, well. Next time, next time..
Actually we got our tickets for Miku on 1st day during registration (they were sold out online).
The guy at "badge pickup" booth said there were still some tickets and asked if we are interested. The price was still $20 and the seats were in the 5th row in the middle section.
I guess it paid to pay for the "premium fan" after all ;) I also loved all the separate lines that allowed us to get into front seats everywhere where we wanted even if we appeared just minutes before the start.
As Danny preaches "use money to save time", I guess ;)
twas around here...
here we are ;)
Nice photos. I wish I could have brought my camera to Nokia Theater before Mikunopolis started so that I could have snapped some pictures.
LONG CAT is Loooooonnnnngggggg~!!!
I got the last Homura-chan Keychain! (^_^)
she's adorable
OMG... I walked through here several times and did not look up to see this ad... *facepalm*

Ofc we hope that this is fake blood, and not that she 'removed' her opposition for the cosplay contest XD
Haha. they left it there from the E3 XD
Scorpion has nice detailing on his costume :o
omg cute ^^
wish it was Honda
so cute X3
wow
i want all of them XD
Were they actually posing together or did it just turn out this way? Steampunk cosplay, Cloud, Nic Robin and Luffy make a pretty odd group shot.
I'm guessing it just happened. Seems like they were a group of friends.
Nice shot. I see lots of Rikku and quite a few Yuna cosplayers, but not too many of Paine.
Wow, I'm a serious nerd. I saw that circle on the ground under Sakura and Ino and expected Neji to be in the picture.
Wesker and Trish spotted.
I WANT THIS!
weegie :)
you need a bigger gun
I saw these around, but I didn't know that they were giving them away to ticket holders... darn, another missed freebie.
Haha Nice Rainbow Dash Cosplayer /)^3^(\
What a hip among fat girls we can find salvation.
