Write for SUTORAIKUanime!

It's that time of year again, time to recruit new writers for the upcoming anime season(s). These days it's becoming harder and harder to find any potential writer to commit to any particular site, considering the amount of anime blogs nowadays. However, SUTORAIKUanime would still like to offer this opportunity for any writers to come forth to be a part of the SUTORAIKUanime Team!
As with most, if not all anime blogs, we're interested in people who are interested in writing episodic reviews on seasonal anime series. We stress for episodic reviews because, although more difficult, it's much more engaging for the readers and the website itself than doing editorial style reviews, which isn't exactly recommended, but we're definitely open to that style if that's what you prefer.
Here at SUTORAIKUanime, we like to maintain a cozy and easygoing atmosphere. Unlike a vast amount of anime blogs, we tend to do things at our own pace, take some much-needed time to think things through, and post things when we feel they are truly complete. However, this does not apply to our episodic reviews, which we always try to have posted as quick as possible, and we were definitely one of the quickest in the Fall 2010 season with shows such as MM! and Bakuman.
Basically, we're looking for writers who:
Have a great passion for anime and writing
Have decent time management abilities
Have at least a couple hours of free time on their hands every week
Are familiar with the blogging format
Know how to use Blogger or Wordpress
Writing episodic posts is not about recapping what was shown in spectacular detail. One is supposed to provide a personal opinion about something that occurred in the episode, whatever that may be, instead of rewriting the storyline. Contrary to popular belief (for some at least), writing reviews, episodic or editorial or what not, is actually very time consuming. The average episodic review takes in excess of 2 hours to post, which will definitely need a hefty amount of both patience and dedication. Last but not least, time management is quite possibly the most important part of writing episodic reviews. We understand that it's a tough squeeze, and for people who don't have a lot of time on their hands, it can be somewhat of a problem, but to put it bluntly, there's no point writing an episodic review a week after the episode has aired. And if you're an early sleeper, then we have a problem here, because you'll definitely be required to prolong your time awake in front of your computer. Coffee helps.
Nowadays it's not that difficult to find an anime blog to accept you into their tightly knit super secret clans, so why SUTORAIKUanime?
We try to provide the coziest atmosphere for all our writers and readers alike
On our non-episodic posts, we take as much time as we need to make sure everything is top notch before posting
We're rather relaxed, but not laid-back
We have a good reader base, enough to make your work noticed
We're in the process of a major website revamp, joining now would enable your participation
We're working our way to becoming established in the real world anime society, taking administrative roles and sponsoring local anime conventions
You'll get a SUTORAIKUanime T-Shirt if you become a resident writer (oops...a slip of the tongue)
Regarding the above point: "Kore wa buribu desu ka?" Perhaps...
Once again, with all the selections a one has as far as anime blogs go, what would make me stay away from writing for SUTORAIKUanime?
You consider yourself too elite for our relaxed, cozy, non-industrialized atmosphere
You do not have the time or dedication to write on a weekly basis
You find our name too SUTORAIK-ing
So, if you're interested in joining the SUTORAIKUanime Team for the Summer 2011 season and beyond, give us a shout by filling out the Contact Us form with a bit of background information about yourself, including why you want to write for us, your past anime blogging experience, your interest in anime, and shows you may be interested in.
It may also be a good idea to submit a sample post of your past work, if you have any. The process can be sped up this way.
Good day.

But...but... I want to be a Sutoraika~
well, I wouldn't mind writing stuff... Although to be quite honest, nothing in the summer season has caught my eyes...
(I actually am thinking of rewatching all the anime I have and review it/re-reviewing some of the stuff I have written...)
We're open to writers in general also ^_^ If you're interested, shoot me an email and we'll go from there
