Toshiba Netbook NB200-11M

Posted by Evo00

I would like to know if anyone owns this netbook and how good it is? I would also like to know what the difference is between the letters? The battery does protude about and it boasts around 9hours of battery. This notebook has had many rave reviews. I would like to buy this for my Uni work and its easy to carry although the battery does stick out a bit. Other stores are giving this 1 year international warranty where as the studentstore I've looked at will give you 3 year warranty. You can also upgrade this 1gb RAM to a max 2gb.

They are also known as Toshiba NB200-10G, Toshiba NB200-11L, Toshiba NB200-11H, Toshiba NB200-10Z, Toshiba NB200-110; Toshiba mini NB200; Toshiba mini NB200-10G, Toshiba mini NB200-11L, Toshiba mini NB200-11H, Toshiba mini NB200-10Z, Toshiba mini NB200-110

I've found the NB200-11M from a student store which they sell with 3 year warranty. I can not zoom in on the pic but it looks like it has the HP Mini Keyboard and NB200-10Z keyboard so has anyone heard of it? I do not understand the different between the letters. On other NB200 models some don't have the chic nice hpmini keyboard. I could find the NB200-11M on a few websites. So what is the difference between the letters?

What are your opinions on this laptop? It has lots of good reviews and is better than the Dell 10v apparently.

This has had many good reviews all over the web. The bad thing about it is the speakers are not that great and are tinny. You can get at least around 9 hours but will be a bit lower if you use wifi etc. I found out the NB200-11M does not have bluetooth connectivity where as the Z Model does have bluetooth. Its a good netbook. As I'm a university student I get a discount and the company I've looked at also give you 3years warranty where as the rest only give you one for this NB200 Toshiba. I also looked at Toshiba and they only give you 1 year warranty and then you have to pay alot extra for the extra cover and warranties etc.

Forget about XP and wait a little bit, very soon manufactures will start releasing Windows 7 with netbooks. If you plan to watch any movies or anime get something with an Nvidia Tegra chip, you won't regret it.

I can't really wait really. I've got a big laptop at home with Vista and its too big and akward to carry in my bag to University so thought this would be my better option. This is upgradable to 2GB. Not significant but it will do for my use at University. Jotting down notes, recording lectures etc. Maybe abit of basic gaming on it too

sorry to burst your bubble but they are not even sure if they'll release windows 7 on netbooks, since they don't have DVD drives and stuff. Besides, you can expect if one comes out to be a bit price because of it.
