Snow Miku 2012 Nendoroid Competition Entry

This is my entry for the competition to design the 2012 Snow Miku Nendoroid that some of you will have probably heard about and maybe even entered too. Although I haven't put pen to tablet in a looong time, I'm a huge fan of Nendoroids and I just couldn't resist the opportunity to do this!

For those that don't know, the theme set by the competition was to design an outfit that incorporated gems shaped like ice. I decided to make the gem the centerpiece of a dress inspired by the kind worn at masquerade balls. I've taken care to reflect aspects of Miku's normal outfit in the dress - can you spot where? She also has brand new hairpieces inspired by snowflakes and an optional masquerade mask!

The entry is posted on the Piapro official Vocaloid fan site at [link] as all competition entries had to posted on there. It is a Japanese site though, which was a bit tricky to register on, and I hope foreigners like me were able to enter! Even if not, it was still great to produce another piece of artwork after having gone so long without doing one. If you liked my art, please check out more of it on my Deviantart!
