Wonder Festival & Comike Advice

Pics of me
ok, just this week i have quit my job and have all this time on my hand, so i thought it would be nice to tick off one of the things i have to do in life - Summer Wonder festival (WF) & Summer Comike (CM).
this being the 1st time to these events i would like some advice like how to get to WF & the Good Smile Cafe. I know a few figure.fm members have advice on their blog, if you could just give me ur links plz.
do u have to pay to get into Comike? and any advice for CM.
one last thing - who is attending these events? and would u like to meet up and explore Japan together, Maids cafe, Karaoke and have dinner etc.
i will be in Japan from the 21st of July to August the 17th. i might be traveling around to Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Tokyo etc but haven't decided where yet

Comiket>
It is "advised" that you support the event by buying a catalogue. If you are going this year for the summer, good luck (although I am going too, perhaps). Less electricity to go around = less air condition = it's going to be hell on Earth. Bring lots of drinks, a towel, and a hat (maybe some snack/rice ball/sandwich from Convini Store).
Have fun while you are in Japan.
Make sure to grab a fan because it will be hot.
I've been to WF a couple of times, so I can give a rough guide to access etc. It's a lot smaller than Comiket, but still pretty crowded and all of the usual advice about bringing food and drink still apply.
To get into WF you need to buy the guidebook, which costs 2000 yen. You can buy it on the day, or in advance from shops like Toranoana in Akihabara. It's held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, and is accessible by train from Tokyo (go to Kaihimmakuhari, use this site for train times: http://www.hyperdia.com/en/ ).
Make sure you bring photo ID (passport is fine) to access the 18+ area, which is worthwhile even if you're not into ecchi figures. You need to arrive very early to queue up if you want any chance at getting Good Smile limiteds etc. If you're interested in buying garage kits you also need to arrive quite early, and make sure to bring lots of money as they tend to be expensive.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
I admire your determination to go to Comiket Summer. After you been through Summer Comiket, you can proudly say "I SURVIVED "SUMMER COMIKET". Trust me, it's not easy surviving commiket, it's like war zone. plus the super hot summer weather. So it's something to show off about. Be strong and stay safe soldier! ^^;
I will be there for wonfest.... also need directions...arriving on 23rd july in narita airport
this web site will help u

how long r u staying in JP?
5 days, from 23rd to 28th, arriving at noon. went to this site already. still unsure of where to change train and from which JR line. hotel 10mins from JR shinjuku station. need to get a 3g phone to use in JP....
from shijuku u need to get to tokyo station - use the yanamto line to get to tokyo station. once at tokyo station get on too the Kieyo line. it should take u 60mins in total to get to WF from shinjuku.
use this web site to plan ur journey - u only need to enter the name of the stations too and from:
http://www.hyperdia.com/
in fact from Shinjuku ur better off using the Chou line to get to Tokyo station as its faster than the Yanamoto.
Thanks alot. that really helped. you speak japanese ???
well i dont speak japanese but i do speak the language of love - not that it helps = )
Looking forward to WF and queue for the Madoka nendoroid + QB, only thing is JP is more expensive than Singapore when it comes to food.
give me ur email address and we can keep in contact while in JP.
