Misaka Mikoto aka BiriBiri, the best character in To Aru Majutsu no Index, is back and better than ever in her new spin-off series, To Aru Kagaku no Railgun!
A whole series with BiriBiri as the main character minus Index? How could you go wrong with that??? (^o^)

The opening is really well done as well.

The reasons for these cameos is that all these series are from the same light novel publisher, hence the Dokuro-chan, Shana, Horo and Kino cameos in Haruka.
This also explains the existance of the fighting game Cross of Venus, of which Mikoto is a playable character.

My recommended way of watching the series. Really glad I managed to get these two figures when they were released. (^.^)
Overall, a great first episode that really does a fantastic job in reintroducing the characters and contains just enough action, humor and ecchi to make a near perfect blend of epicness. I had really, really high expectations coming into this series and it didn't disappoint at all.
I'm thinking about buying the 1/8 mikoto misaka & misaka pvc set by character and anime dot com. I really like how misaka(the clone) looks in that set.
Will be looking forward to this series and BiriBiri who I think stands out in the crowd of all those 2D girls just because she wears shorts instead of pantsu. Will there be a short under skirt fetish?

It's better than what happened in "Who framed Roger Rabbit". For 4 frames (but honestly really only a single one) Jessica is shown what she wears there... or rather what she isn't wearing. Disney denies this and claims it's a shadow xD
You should be careful googling for this as... well sans pantsu returns quite a lot of 3D women... specially with no filter >_< (or should it be O_O )

the first episode was good though it really make me want to watch To aru Majutsu again XD
Good to finally see this come out. Slight change in the presentation and what I read in the manga but I actually believe this way is better. Small hints here and there of what is to come at least to my limited knowledge. Most importantly, more Misaka Mikoto!!
Just as a side nitpicky thought, a small coin fired at 1030m/s sends a car flying in midair... first of all, great job mr.bankrobber, lets go back towards the crime scene after making it to your car. Secondly, assuming the small coin can survive the sudden acceleration to roughly mach 3, the car probably won't be flying intact. It would've been nice to see the front of the car crush inward before flying or something. At least it would look slightly more believable.
