Free Kitteh?
Friends of mine in the Dollfie hobby often tell me I have good luck with finding things I want. Sometimes, they just fall in my lap. Well, this time, I have to agree with them. XD
This started when I got a letter from my bank saying they overcharged me on my escrow account in the last billing period. So they sent me a refund check for that amount.... $250. I was like "YAY! Free money!"
Later that night I was talking to another friend about how Chun was having some clothes coming up for sale soon and how we both wanted stuff. But we both knew they weren't easy to get and ran out fast. So we both figured we wouldn't be able to get what we wanted this time around. So that $250 would prolly not be for Chun clothing.
The next morning at work, I got there early enuff to mess around online a bit. While cruising the Dollfie forums, I saw a post about a Yukino for sale on Ebay. She was used, had some staining and did not have her default wig or slip/undies. But the price was low. So I hit the link to see how she looked.
As soon as I saw Yukino in that picture, something clicked. She called out to me. Fate spoke to us both.
Here was a Yukino that was being sold by her owner that needed some love and attention as well as a new home. The price was $300 BIN with $20 shipping. She even had some clothing with her, some stockings and a nekomimi hoodie. I thought "What better way to spend that $250 I got yesterday! I'll only be $70 out of pocket!" So I contacted the seller and Yukino was adopted.
Whether it was Fate or the DD Kamisama helping me, I don't know. But the seller emailed me telling me that Yukino had shipped THAT SAME DAY and gave me tracking info. She also mentioned that the set of clothes Yukino was pictured wearing happened to be from a girl in Canada that sold clothes under the name of Puppy52.

I went back and looked and sure enuff, the clothes I was just talking about wanting to my friend the night before were INCLUDED! I got a Chun Peasant top and a skirt and even an awesome cardigan! I was beyond happy!
I just want to say that I really appreciate DefectiveAngels help on this. She is the one who linked to the Yukino auction in the first place. Had she not done so, I never would have seen her or been able to adopt her. So THANK YOU VERY MUCH! =3
So that's how I got Yukino, my 8th daughter.
Now I didn't want a regular box opening introduction for this special girl so I decided to do an adoption story instead.

I drive up to my house after work and see a big box on the porch that seems to be open. What the heck?
Free Kitteh? Oh no! I can barely afford the two cats I have now! I don't need another kitty!
I better see whats inside tho....
Oh my! That's no kitteh!
"Nyaaaannn! Hello!"
Ah! Hello little one!
"Hello sir! Are you by chance Baldylox?"
Um.. yes I am. How do you know my name? Wait, first off, what's your name?
"My name's Yukino."
Nice to meet you Yukino, let's get in the house where it's cooler, ok?
"Ok!"
Alright, let's get you out of the box first.
"Thanks for helping me out!"
Manami - "Papa! Who's THAT??"
Mamimi - "Oh look, she has nekomimi on her hoodie! Cute!"
Manami - "Nekomimi? Are you a stray kitty?"
Mamimi - "Silly! She's not a kitty!"
Y - "No, no, I'm not a real kitty cat."
Ok yall, let Yukino speak. I'm not sure why she's here either. Yukino, how did you know my name?
"Well sir, my parent knew that you had DD's and since they couldn't keep me anymore, they thought you might be able to help me out somehow."
Couldn't keep you? What do you mean?
"Well, I'm damaged."
What? Did they hurt you or treat you bad?
"No, not on purpose. But I have boo-boos on me. Down here..."
"See on my knees?"
Ah, you have stains. Those aren't so bad tho.
"I have more unfortunately...."
"These are worse. And I have some on the back of my feet too."
"And..... I also have some under my hair."
"So...so thats why I was brought here. I can see why my last owner didn't want me anymore. Stains are bad...."
M - "NO! That's NOT true Yukino! Stains aren't bad and you aren't bad either! I can tell!"
Y - "But... but stains are permanent. They won't go away."
M - "Ah! That's where you're wrong! Papa can make them go away! Just ask Yoko! YOKO!! COME HERE!"
M - "Yoko, please tell Yukino about your stains and how Papa helped you."
Yoko - "Hey Yukino! Manami is right, stains aren't permanent if you treat them right! I had bad staining when Papa adopted me. I was in a store in Japan for over 4 months and altho lots of people looked at me, no one would buy me because of them."
Yoko - "But Papa rescued me! He knew he could get rid of the stains and he adopted me from there and brought me here. It took some time to get them gone but it was worth it because now they're all gone! And I had them way worse than you Yukino."
Yukino - "Is she right Baldylox? You fixed her stains?"
Yes I did Yukino. It wasn't easy and Yoko had to really go thru some tough treatments but she came out great. And I think you will too.
Miyuki - "Hey! We found LOOT! Hee hee!"
Mai - "Yep! It seems Yukino had some extra clothes down here with her. I found these nice stockings."
Miyuki - "And I found this excellent cardigan!"
Yukino - "Oh, thank you! I should have a hat in there too. Do you see it?"
"Yes. Said hat has been found. It is very odd looking tho."
Mai - "Ummm...."
Miyuki - "Oooooo!"
Miyuki - "SO CUTE!!! MUST HUG!!!"
Rei - "Settle down Miyuki! You cannot glomp your commander like this!"
Miyuki - "KAWAIIIIIIIIII!!!"
R - "Hey there! I noticed you didn't have any shoes so let's get these slippers on you so your feet stay warm."
Y - "Oh my! That's so very nice of you! Thanks!"
R - "No prob, we're all sisters here. We take care of each other."
Y - "Sisters? Really?"
R - "Sure why not?"
That's right Yukino, you now have 7 sisters. And you can call me Papa instead of Baldylox if you like."
Y - "I can? I always wanted a Papa! Thank you!"

Wow! The family GROWS. LOL Congrats in Yukino. She looks happy in her new home. :D
Thanks! It does grow unexpectedly! XD But I love Yukino, she's such a pretty girl! And yes, she seems to be very happy here so far. She has started stain treatments and should be good to go within a week or so.

What is your stain creame of choice?
I use Oxy10 since it's easily found and not expensive compared to others. I also use a UV light to help speed up the process. Some people put the girls in a window to let the sunlight hit them but I use this lamp because I can run it into the night and pinpoint areas more easily. It worked really well on Yoko so I am hoping for the same results with Yukino. =3

You're welcome! Actually, you can use any clear or white ance creme as long as it has 10% benzoyle peroxide in it. Oxy 10 is just a very popular and easy to find one here in the US. I've heard that in some places you have to have a prescription for the brand Oxy10. So if you can't get that specific brand at home, don't worry. Just look for something with the same contents and you'll be fine.

But yes, I am now the proud Papa of a Yukino and I love her! She's so pretty in person! This is the first Yukino I have seen up close. The ones in the Volks stores in Japan were in their boxes and hard to see.
Plus, I got Puppy clothes! I was so very happy to get a Peasant top, skirt and cardigan that you made. I can't wait to see how they fit on some of my other girls now. ^_^
^o^ That set of clothes, my Nyanko (Yoko) and Aki (DDII m bust) wore it before so I'm 200% sure it will fit one of your lovelies ;D lolol

I was SO stoked to find out those were Puppy52 clothes! I didn't pay close attention until after the seller mentioned it to me. And I think you're right about the hoodie, I also think it looks just like the solid blue one I have from Jessica too. So even better luck was involved! XD

This is too cute. I am also having problems with Staining of my Mio DD. I already used rubbing alchol and fingernail polish remover. The stains only appeared after 4 days of wearing a Dollheart dress I got for her.
Thank you very much! As for stains, I have had them show up in less than 15 minutes before so 4 days isnt too bad. The best thing to use on stains is Oxy10 or something similar. It works very well but you will have to do multiple treatments to get dark stains out. But trust me, you CAN get all the stains out over time if you just stick with it. I used it on my Yoko and she is now as good as new! I hope you can get Mio all fixed up soon!

Found out from Ms. Geek that Volks is opening a new store in Akihabara on the 16th. I plan to be there.. May pick up another DD-Dy body for Maiya's sister, Glenda, as well as raid the clothing section.. ^_^ I need shoes, too.. for the girls..

I did. Picked up a Figma Kanu and Figma Mana Miyuki. Also found some adorable Volks shoes for about 2,625Yen that will work for Glenda or a Maido Maiya... ^_^
Also went to Good Smile Cafe.. was a little awkward experience... Seems they only let you order once, in order to rush you out the door for the next people in line.. Ordered a large salad and a coke, then decided I'd have some curry... didn't get to order the curry, and just wanted to get out of there after that even though I was planing to buy shirts/Figmas/etc... They weren't rude, but it didn't sit well with me.. ah well, a store in Nakano Broadway benefited...

Thank you sir! I have to make time to play with them all. Every night I try and take one or two of them into the computer room with me to spend some time together talking and looking online at others DD's. They seem to be ok with this arrangement so I'll continue doing that! =3

Thank you! I hope your sister can get herself a Yukino someday soon! I'm not worried about the stains really. I have been treating her for 3 days now and the stains are starting to fade. So after about 3-4 more treatments, I think they will almost all be gone. So Yukino will be really happy when that's all done! =3

Awww... that's kind of mean! :( Yukino had stains and *I* wanted her! I wanted to help her out tho. Stains are not something I want to leave on my girls but sometimes they happen no matter how hard you try to keep them away. But I know what you mean. ^_^
yoko right!and if I was in japan and I saw yoko with a couple stains on her I would buy in a heart beat. stains don't bother me because I have the easer.
Yeah, I couldn't leave her there especially after hearing she had been there for so long with no buyers. That's okay, she's with me now and she loves her new home! =3
Not all stains will come out with the Magic Eraser tho. It does a great job on lots of surface dirt and such but deep down stains from dark clothes can be really hard to get out and will need treatments like Oxy10. But for the most part, I use a Magic Eraser a lot too. ^_^

So far, I have been using Oxy10 and her stains are starting to lift. I have done 3 treatments so far and will do 2 more this weekend. I think as long as I take my time, these stains will go away. ^_^ And if all else fails, spare parts from Volks! XD
