Finally Set Some Figures Free

Posted by CaTZ [www]

After long years, I manage to fix the house and move some of my stuff from my parent's to my house and set up the display cabinet. I took me like... 2-3 years... (some figure manage to clock on 4) to open some of these figures.

Manage to found a nice and relatively cheap glass cabinet to put some of my collection in, since the bigger one still need to be fixed.

so it makes me wonder, for those who open your figures; what is the longest period you ever had from buying your figures to open them?

edit: realized that the title sounded strange. edited :P There's still a pile of figures yet to be freed though :P

I still have a Nendoroid Petite which I haven't opened from when I bought it in October of 2009 I believe.

hmmm, i opened them right after they arrived...so far. just in case if there's any defect or damage. then if there's no space, i'll just put them inside their boxes again.

The longest I've been without opening a figure is about 2.5 years. When I was living with my parents they didn't really approve of them so I couldn't display them. I moved out 6 months ago and have started to display them. I only have a detolf cabinet so I'm rotating through my collection as we speak.

A little over two months. This was because I was still new to figure collecting, so I was afraid of opening my first relatively expensive scale figure (GSC Moka).

    That's an excellent collection!

Longest for me would be about a year. I had my kagamine rin/len figmas MISB before I actually had time to open and play with them :)

Woo boy. That would be three years and counting of not opening a single Nendo since starting the collection and probably another 2 months to go for a big house and room renovation till I finally open them all. That will be quite the experience.

Your PvC's are fantastic. They fit my prefered tastes to a T.
