Airy With Animetic Eyes TYPE-F (Bright Blue)

Posted by Maruneko [www]

Even before I ordered Airy, I knew from the start that if I were to ever get her she would need some new eyes. I have since search and looked at what others have done and have decided between the Type-E or F, at the end I go for F for a more anime looks.

Stayed with blue as I don't want her to lost too much of her original identity.

This is my first time eye changing on a Dollfie so everything is new to me...

Famous Volks Glue!!!

I tried 3 method to remove it
1. Bute force as some one say that you can do it slowly... after half an hour I gave up... even with Volks tools
2. Hair Dryer... that does get the glue soft and let the eye freed. But the heat can't be good for the head and the glue is getting every where as it's become sticky...
3 returned to the tried and test method, thinner.. and in 2 min all the glue were gone...

One thing I discover T_T when using the thinner is that I dropped a tiny drop on the eye and it crack right away.... I think those thinner is causing the micro crack that are caused when Volks hot glue them to become visible...

Eye putty... Like everyone else mentioned before, it does seem like it need to be warm to stick property. other wise it just fall off.

only one tinny fault left on my Airy. Her right hand have what looks to be burn mark (if it were human), it's bump and extra plastic on her palm side. I suspect it's result from the injection molding not coming out clean. Luckily Volks have already send me a replacement hand.
