Custom head for 1/6 Doll
Hi Guys.
I'm new to 1/6 world (both western and japanese). I'm trying to create my own character, at first using the obitsu pixy head type and without looking at reviews, I purchased the phicen 1/6 seamless body thinking that they would go with each other.
No such luck though, the head is WAAAYYY smaller than the body. SO I ended up ordering a compatible 27cm obitsu body.
SO now that I have a seamless body (and also ANOTHER seamless body from hotstuff - silly me :P) with an ugly head, I'm looking for a basic head to use for customizing the head.
Can anyone recommend me one? I'm thinking along the line of Kiki or Head Factory since it seems they uses the same size (hot toys-sized) body
edit: also, I wonder what kind of head-body combination used to build the dolls in here http://www.dollsfigure.com/productF.asp?mtype=32&p_no=2 ? thanks!

How about Obitsu Slim Male or Volk Neo Gohs heads, for the Amazon look.

Well I think the head you have isn't ugly by any means haha actually the heads used on Dollsfigure are some of the same mold as the head you have now (heres one that hikaru over at flickr did http://www.flickr.com/photos/dollfiedreamaddict/5879700378/in/photostream ) ^_^ You would have to paint them to make them looks the the girls from the website though ^_^' I know there's some beautiful ones that sell on both YJA (http://bit.ly/q06zCJ) and ebay (http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=1%2F6+obitsu&_sacat=See-All-Categories) but will cost you hehe. Also I'm pretty sure most heads be compatible with the body you have already although I would recommend that you get a normal jointed body as well since the seamless bodies aren't meant to be used all the time.

Also I forgot to mention the reason why the pixy head type was so much smaller than the body you ordered is because shes meant for a 25cm body so even the other body you ordered wont fit her head (still be too small) ^_^' Next time pay attention to scale~ heres the obitsu website so you can view the whole list of different heads, hair colors and the scale http://www.parabox.jp/eng/w01.html .

aaah no wonder, I did pay attention to scale. What I didn't realize is that the pixy head was for 25cm (since most of the time it says compatible with 27cm). Oh well, the price of knowledge
now THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Now this is the answer I've been waiting for :)
So my shopping list will be: buy a couple new heads for the body without heads :P, new body for the pixy head *sigh*
