Double H: Episode 9 (Lacia, Wave's Love Plus Girls, Nendo Mami & Figma Homura)

After having to listen to himself talk for so long during editing last week, Chag decided to enlist the help of Mr. Smirnoff to help him loosen up. Ashlotte, on the other hand, found refuge in cough medicine in order to deal with his faltering pipes. In other words, both of us were operating under the influence for this week's show. The results were...well...unique, at least for Chag.
In the first half, we throw around a bunch of conjectures on GSC's brand-spanking-new project. Then we question the sanity of Wave with regards to their return to the 1/8th scale.
The second half brings more cynicism against the Love Plus girls, especially poor Nene's breasts. Then we move onto greener pastures by hopping onto the GSC bloc's Madoka gravy train.
Finally, we answer another round of questions ranging from the personal to the absurd. How did we start collecting and blogging together? Do we hear voices from our favourite figures and relay them to the internet through Twitter? Find out about all that and more! (Note: big sorry to Zai this week for missing your question! Chag's inability to copypaste some text into a Google Docs file is remarkable. We'll be sure to get on it next week!)
- 0:16 -- When/How did we start collecting/working on Hobby Hovel
- 6:29 -- "Have you ever found yourselves diverting money from other things to fund your figure collecting hobby?"
- 8:23 -- "Do you guys video game a lot? If so, what's your favorite genre and game?"
- 10:20 -- Why don't we make twitter accounts for our favourite figures?
Once again, if you have more questions, feel free to send it over via comment, tweet (Chag/Ashlotte), email, or formspring (Chag)! Just throw "(Q&A)" in front of your question and we'll do our best to answer it...even if it's completely silly, as you have witnessed this week.

Nice episode! Are you guys getting any of these?
I might get Nendo Mami or Figma Homura. Can't decide if I like the figmas or nendos more.
Nah, we're not getting anything this week. Lacia is nice, but the big shipping and lack of retailer discounts made it a hard pill to swallow for me. The Love Plus girls were pretty dubious looking, to put it mildly, and we're still waiting to see those scale figures of the Madoka girls. I really hope GSC shows off prototypes of those at WonFes. Although, if those turn out to be catastrophically bad (which I doubt), I'll grab a Nendoroid of Homura (and maybe Mami)-- The Madoka art style seems almost like it's meant for Nendoroids!
I know, right? They appear much older than they are as figmas.
