Mad Science: IT LIVES!
A day or two ago, I posted Mad Science: Assembly, chronicling Agatha's creation of the dragon construct Aebelskiver, for Batrastard.
Now we follow to the logical conclusion: bringing Aebelskiver to LIFE!
Agatha: "Well, I think that does it for preparation. . ."
"Time for the final stage!"
"Oh, I'm so excited. This is my best construct ever. Even if it is a dragon."
"Now. . . "
"Time to BRING ON the LIGHTNING!"
"Hello, Aebelskiver, my creation. Welcome to the world. Now--"
*BOOF*
"Pancake! What--No!"
Pancake: *Purr*
"No, both of you, NO. Will you--"
"--STOP THAT!"
Aebelskiver: *Purr??*
"No, seriously, Pancake. Let's go. . ."
*BOOF x 2*
"Aaargh! No! GETOFF! Bad dragons! I said GET OFF!"
Pancake and Aebelskiver: *Puuurrrrr*
"Well, Batrastard, I hope you're prepared. Because once Aebelskiver hits your doorstep. . "
". . .She's your problem."

Oh, I made them using: http://katy-a.deviantart.com/art/How-to-Plush-your-Dragon-161986356 This tutorial + pattern. :) (There are official night fury plushies, but I, like many fans, find them somewhere between lacking and unnerving.) However, these two didn't feel *exactly* like Toothless, so they ended up being other night furies--cousins of Toothless, I guess you could say; they each have both tailfins, and are named after pastries. XD

Thank you! Just a warning: if you get fleece for your night fury, watch out for the stretch of the fabric--many synthetic fleeces stretch on just one axis. That's how Pancake ended up making his :/ face. XD Also, for Pancake and Aebelskiver I had the pattern enlarged to fit on 11 x 17 paper, instead of using 8.5 x 11, so they'd be bigger and more cuddly. Happy night fury-ing!

Heheh, thanks! You should see the *new* glasses I just got from Batrastard; they're a much saner, more accurate size. However, I think I may still use these big ones when she enters "the madness place", just to emphasize how much she's capable of warping reality. :)
And thanks on the night furies! They were both so fun to make, I was half tempted to kidnap Aebelskiver. XD
Yeah, Foglio actually does that in his drawings at times. Keep the distorted version of the glasses, they will come in handy in photostories.
Yeah, I've noticed when trying to look up references for Agatha's outfits. It's made it hard to plan how to make any of them. ^^; Part of why her first official comic-based dress is going to be the brown and green dress is because it shows up so briefly, so it has less of an opportunity to mutate. XD I will be keeping the big glasses, like I said, they'll be for when she's at her most Sparky, while the smaller ones will be for when she's at her most mellow and sane.

I haven't tried aebelskivers yet either; that name was picked in great part because it goes with the pastry theme. XD They do sound awfully tasty though. And thanks! I love how expressive DDs can be. :)

Thanks! "Bring on the Lightning" is actually a reference to the comic that Agatha is based on; in one scene in a bar a trio shows up, singing what is presumably a polka song about making a Frankenstien-esque monster. Couldn't resist nodding to it. XD
