Trip to UK Question
Wed 2011/07/20 12:04 JST

I will be going to the UK next week for a week.
I have an extra day in London and would like to know if there are any places I should go to.
I have TokyToys on my list, but that's it so far.
If anyone could tell me any other place that might sell anime figures, that would be great!
And does Japan Centre sell figures?
I tried to ask them through e-mail, but I never got a response...

There's nearly no place in London to buy figures, I'm afraid :/ I know it sounds amazing, but unless you go to a convention you're pretty much screwed.
There's Tokyo Toys as you said, although they don't have a lot and it's too expensive (imo). Japan Centre doesn't carry figures, it's mostly manga, magazines, artbooks and sometimes some merchandise. I think I've seen a couple of figmas at some point, but yeah, don't expect any figures :/ Then there's, literally, a couple of anime figures at Forbidden Planet.
Unless I've missed some shop opening lately, that's it. Pretty sad :(
Thank you for the tips. I've been looking all over the net for anime/figure stores for a good 5 months and nothing. Now I know why! I was going to go to TokyToys, but I don't think I have the money to spend on a whim like I used to.
Sorry for the late reply.
hamsterfactor has said it all, london has next to no anime shops then again alot of england don't, the only shop i know that truely sells stuff like nendos figmas etc is a small shop in newcastle (other end of the country) called animez
but yeah ebnjoy your time here all teh same dude
It is a little surprising that there is next to nothing in London for fgiures. I would've thought that there would have been a lot of shops. I guess Japan is next on my list! Sadly I'm only going to have time in London. But Ichecked out the site. And I wish I could spend some time there.
I hope I will!
And sorry for the late reply!
