Alleyne x2
A little while ago Griffon and Megahouse released their version of Alleyne from Queen's Blade. I liked them both, so here they are...
I think MH (on the left) is the better of the two figures. The Griffon figure seems more solid, which is the last thing you want in an elf. It is by no means bad, I just prefer the Megahouse.
Since these are Queen's Blade figures, they are castoffable. Beware, two images down they prove it!
Here is my current stable of elves. Got Echidna about a month ago. I like her more than I expected to. The Lineage II Elf is on order from Hobby Search.
The eyes, as promised. Sorry for the lack of focus on Megahouse Alleyne. I didn't notice until I had her all "dressed" and it is too much trouble for me to castoff all over again. I live in fear that I will break a figure pulling off heads etc...
One plus for the Griffon is that they used the *cough* sticky leaves to cover Alleyne's bits. MH went with a g-string, which may be more realistic but doesn't fit the character as well.
Megahouse Alleyne is just gorgeous. The Griffon one isn't even on the same league. I'm still waiting for her to come in the mail. Y'know I don't collect Queens Blade figures but I've always liked her character design and she kind of reminds me of Elwyn from Shining Wind so she was a must get for me. I'm glad she turned out so well. She looks exactly the prototype (if not better). :)
HLJ seems to be taking quite some time to ship my order out of their warehouse. The status has been "in process for shipping" for 3 days now, don't think today counts(Sunday) though which would then be 2 days. My guess is she'll leave their warehouse tomorrow, well I will also be receiving Saber Lily by tomorrow if the tracking is correct so she'll keep me company until alleyne arrives too :D
I like the Griffon better. I always keep an eye on that.
The actual character design showed her wearing g-string type, though in the design, the strings are thinner :P
Looks like the Megahouse version can cast off more than the Griffon. I hope to get them all, but then again, Queen's Blade figures are a luxury I can't afford...
