Yawa-GET!

Posted by Almariel-Chichi

Peach Pai is a well known DD mod available from Rajikaru that was introduced by Danny-san of Figure.fm/Culturejapan a while back. Since then, it has been bought by quite a few people. Basically, it's a silicone shell replacement for the standard DD/DDdy/MDD bust that makes DDII boobs much softer and more squishable - good for filling dresses more realistically xD

Not too many people know that in end 2010, Rajikaru-san prototyped a new mod that is much more ambitious. In this article, I review the Rajikaru Yawa seamless butt mod >:D

Yawa-GET!

A big mysterious package arrives one late evening. Atiyaah takes a good look at it, then struggles for a long while to get it up the stairs and onto my table in my study/rest room.

Atiyaah: Muuu... what could this be? It's for oyaji-sama... it's bulky, not heavy and it's fragile. what could it be?
*rustling of a bunnyhammer being held unsteadily by someone not fit to wield it*

Atiyaah: rehh?

*BAADONK*

Baatholomew: Let the modding BEGIN! *dons Dr Evil scrubs*

The package comes with a instruction sheet. Just like Peach Pai, it's got lots of pretty and informative pictures and Japanese instructions. Even without a command of Japanese putting the mod together should still be very easy - I mean, it's not exactly brain surgery.

Yawa-GET!

Yawa-GET!

As Yawa is only a partial replacement for parts of the DDdy, you will also need the following (obviously):

The upper body, arms and head of a DDdy (including internal frame)
The lower legs (shells only)
The feet (including internal frame)

Mouseover = load notes.
Yawa-GET!

The lower leg internal frame replacements are slotted into the Yawa at the knees.

After playing with Atiyaah for a while after the operation, here's what I feel:

Just like Peach Pai, Yawa also feels rather soft. However, unlike breasts, the lower female body doesn't have any unusually large deposits of soft tissue in any one spot, so it actually feels much more solid.

The mod is not floppy at all - in fact, it has its own replacement internal frame as previously noted. However, all that heft is partially let down by the choice of small-diameter copper pipe as int-frame bone - it won't fracture as easily as PVC under normal DD handling and storage conditions, but even after I had tightened bolts all over the mod, my Dollfie had completely lost the ability to stand unaided after both Peach Pai and Yawa were added on. Plan on getting a more stable doll stand designed for a heavier doll if you do this as well.

The extra silicone required plus the frame mean that Yawa costs more than a DDdy Peach Pai - 22000 JPY! It's also important to note that the complexity of this item means that Rajikaru-san's small artisanal operation cannot make more than a few every few weeks. (Also mooted is a DD version that costs only 20000JPY and does the same thing Yawa for DDdy does, only on DDs, but preorders haven't opened yet)

You will also need to go through a proxy service that can handle Japan orders as Rajikaru only deals with Japanese customers - no international service is offered. Even this may prove problematic as Rajikaru only allows 1 piece of this item to be purchased per household, and the fact that whenever preorders are opened for this item, it tends to sell out within MINUTES. Getting a Yawa is akin to getting a very fine vintage of champagne for DD parents who are into this sort of heavy modding. A very fine, soft, huggable bottle of champagne xD

While Rajikaru-san tries hard to make the item as perfect as possible, the fact that the Rajikaru operation is relatively small means that one should not expect Quality Control on the same level as as Volks - expect:

    • maybe a few minor blemishes in harder-to-see parts,
    • unset gelomer coming off the insides while fiddling to put it together (there's the real eww factor of this item),
    • having to shave down connector pegs a little in order to fit them properly

    Also: just like the silicone used in Peach Pai, Yawa silicone WILL pick up staining so easily it makes Dollfie PVC look teflon-coated. Wipe off any stains you see on your new Yawa mod ASAP before it sets in. Getting clothes with properly treated dyeing is also even more crucial with an investment like this!

    Mouseover = load notes.
    Yawa-GET!

    Another key concern with Yawa is the nature of the material used, in term of its smoothness. The silicone feels very tacky, even with the application of protective talc on a regular basis, and there is a lot more give. Hence, any clothing item that relies on the firmness and ease of sliding fabric over PVC may give problems when worn on a Yawa.

    It also goes without saying that any item where removing legs to wear it is necessary is NOT an option with the Yawa mod installed!! On the flip side, however, the lack of seams means that some very high-cut items suddenly look better in the absence of doll joints in the hip area. There are still doll joints from the knees downwards, but there's a reason why thigh highs are so popular with DD parents in the first place...

    Mouseover = load notes.
    Yawa-GET!

    The Yawa mod has most of the same range as a normal DDdy lower body, but it feels a touch stiffer and harder to sit up without support. The lower leg int-frame replacement bones also feel a bit looser and need tightening, twisting every which way a bit too easily in fact. And as I previously mentioned, the material weighs more than the PVC it was meant to replace - standing your Dollfie up unsupported will become impossible with this mod installed, let alone with Peach Pai thrown in.

    Mouseover = load notes.
    Yawa-GET!

    However, if you are a DD parent with some experience in fixing and/or modding your DD, a Yawa might still be a great mod for your DDdy if you're not squeamish about getting out the pliers and screwdrivers to put it together, then paying extra attention to its quirks whenever you pose or care for her. I won't highly recommend it to everyone, but if you know what you're getting yourself into and can afford and somehow get it if you want it, Yawa is the new Peach Pai! >:D

    Oh, and enjoy the rest of the pictures!

    Mouseover = load notes.
    Yawa-GET!

    Yes, it's that anatomically correct. No, this ain't Kankaku Somplex (or something) - no detail pics for you ^^;

      internal frame replacements for lower leg, connects feet to rest of body as well... This one is meant to be slotted into the knees and covered with DDdy lower leg shells.

      Impt note: these pegs were not glued to the sticks and came loose easily - not a fatal mistake, but annoying.

      Also, needed shaving slightly in order to fit the feet properly.

      This plastic is considerably stiff and is meant to shield the long bolt that plugs the Yawa and DD halves of this mod together.

        I doubt it. Remember when I said that the quality of Yawa will vary above at least a certain minimum? well, the lining that makes it look like the two holes is slightly loose to one side. I'm assuming this is an artisanal mistake, but don't want to scare anyone. that's my other reason :(

        And yeah, it's only a wink and nod. you don't get a clit, or a sphichinter. it's just two holes where they should be. If you really want a glance, the instruction sheet had it.

        I have that problem too. the main issue is that the internal frame for DD seems to rely on the stiffness of the external body shell at the neck area to partially hold the head - it's why the DD neck seems to have limited freedom of movement - because it's a support as much as the internal frame is!

        Good idea. Unlike Peach Pai, Yawa is not necessarily a upgrade. In fact, in some respects, it could even be a bit of a white elephant... albeit a white elephant that looks gorgeous. Better to get a Peach Pai and spend a few months getting to know what the material its made of is like, because the Yawa mod uses a LOT more of it.

This is a very bad combination in the long run, and even just last night I was already feeling the bad effects (I slept most of my day off away as as matter of fact. cannot stand without support, need heavier duty support because the silicone on both upper and lower body more than doubles the DDdy's weight, probably supported better by saddle type when standing even though I've seen plenty of ppl get away with 'lean some part against a wall or boxes' or just lying her down.

        But she's so soft, and the midriff actually deform slightly compared to the stiff static pose on normal stiff DD PVC.

        don't kid yourself - it's still tacky, and the extra ease with which it gives slightly makes underpants wearing hard esp for borderline tight and unwearable pantsu.

        Also, most outfits for that half tend not to go too high-cut because of the seam on standard DDs, so sourcing for outfit to take advantage without excessive nudity is hard.

        and in terms of keeping clean, the guy at Fetishroom.80code.com (he makes DD/VMF50 clothes) figured out a way to keep the silicone clean - soak in warm water with a touch of detergent that doesn't cause dishwasher hands as easily.
