Your thoughts on the new Pettanko line.

Posted by Ridley [www]

Good Smile announced today a new line of figures called Pettanko, manufactured by Penguin Parade. Distributed by GSC. To me they look like non-posable nendoroids. As an avid nendoroid collector, I am now in a debate with myself as to if I should start collecting these as well. They are very cute. According to the release, all Pettanko's will be sculpted in a seated position. Kirino and Kuroneko are going to be the first two released under this new line.

I wanted to know what the figure.fm community thought about them.

It's look very cute but if all the figures got the same pose it will be boring =P

Real cute! These really appeal to me as an utterly baby-fied version of the already chibi n' cute Pucchis. But yeah.... depending on their size, I think they'd be boring. No potential for photoshoots as well [at least for now].

But they're worth keeping in my opinion. ^__^ Too cute... but that's still dependent on the price.

They just don't do it for me. I love the full size Nendo's due to being posable and interchangeable, but these are static and rather boring looking. Perhaps they might make a nice computer desk or monitor (placed on top) kinda accessory.

Kudos to GSC for trying something new and expanding their range with an even more affordable figure, but I'll stick to my guns and keep collecting full size Nendo's. Lord knows theres some pretty amazing ones due for order pretty soon.

I'm sure I broke the internet with the spelling of some of those made up words >.>

roughly how big are they? I feel like they'd do well if they were a bit smaller than regular nendoroids and perhaps a lower pricetag?

reported at 70mm high. normal nendoroids are about 100mm high. so they are about the same size as a normal nendoroid sitting down.

hmmm...at that point it would just seem redundant to go ahead and start collecting these. They're just sitting nendoroids that lack posability... Maybe you'd be better off just continuing with your collection of regular nendoroids :P

Yeah, if there were different seated poses, and a lower price tag, I would buy them.

But if they're all the same, or the same price...I'm gonna pass.

So adorable *_* I definitely want them. I hope they aren't too expensive for not being non poseable :0!

Saw some pictures of this new line of figures. At least for now they are all (besides Kirino and Kuroneko shown here) in same pose, Guess the maker intend to do so.

The same pose of these figures could be a dull, but it also helps to create some sort of "unity" of the product line... Just image having lot of them seating on the same shelf or table ^^

Their expressions are a bit lacking but they are okay. I much prefer the regular nendos.
Anyways I am struggling to keep up with the nendos I want and I still retain an interest in pucchis.

There was a post here that showed other figures from this new series but I can't find it now. They seem really cute too.

They seem nice but too expensive and they're just like a non posable nendoroid as many above have said. I think I'll steer clear of this line unless they go on sale, or a Homura is made. They are making Mikoto and Kuroko, which would be tempting if they wouldn't cost near 5000 yen together

They are cute but to plain for me ...I love Nendos and it would be like starting over for a lesser Nendo no faces no accessories no thanks .... and the price tag is to much just a 1000 JPY less then Nendos nope

They look cute, but if they all have the same pose it will get old. You can't really play with them then.

While they are cute, if you already own/collecting nendoroids, I do not see a merit of starting a collection of these.

I personally don't care for them. They all seem to look the same and a few extra dollars could net you a regular nendo so I'd say a big pass on this line.

They are also making Misaka and Kuroku figures. Think I'll get Kuroko-chan.
