Looking for Transformers Movie Dual Model Kit DMK01 Optimus Prime

After watching the 3rd Transformers movie I really want to get a Optimus Prime but the ones produced by Hasbro just dosent cut it for me...I looked around and found out that Takara Tomy actually made a model kit for Prime and Bumblebee...Amiami is sold out and I cant find it on HLJ or Hobbysearch...Does anyone know where he's still in stock for a decent price??

Thanks

I'm sure you can find some from ebay by searching 'Optimus Prime TAKARA TOMY'. Or you can try the Mandarake which you can find lots of rare or ancient products there.

Well, you can keep on watching the Mandarake. It will restock products everyday and good luck~
Or another way to find some long sold out items is from the auction of yahoo.jp. The price there is more reasonable but you need an agent or a friend in Japna to bid it coz it dosen't support international shipping as I know.

the selling point on the hasbro toys is that they can transform, the dmk selling point is the movie accurate look , but if you ask me, i dont recomend them, they are way overpriced for the quality of the kits, and for the price they ask they could at least trow away some weapons, its just the battle blades that for some reason he does NOT use in DOTM movie, its not exacly a Bandai kit, parts do not fit properly, pieces fall over all the time, but if you really want a OP movie accurate then the DMK's are your only option.

It's currently out of stock at bigbadtoystore.com, but they're pretty good at restocking items, so you may want to check there every now and then. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/search.aspx?search=transformers+dual+model+kit Though, you live in Australia, so shipping from BBTS may be pretty expensive, as they're located in the US. I suppose you could always go with the Optimus Prime Revoltech figure. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=KAI10363&mode=retail

If scale is not an issue, you could consider the new Revoltech Optimus coming out soon. The reviews I've seen of the DMK have actually been pretty good, so really it all comes down to how much you're willing to spend.

Seibertron.com has great galleries of most of the Transformers toys, if you are considering Hasbro.

Ive heard from 2 separate sources that a second wave of the DMK-01 kits will be released in December. If you dont mind waiting that long, Ami Ami and hlj.com as well as all the other retailers should get a new stock of them around that time at normal retail prices. Again, that's if you don't mind waiting that long. Still, even at the cheapest like Ami Ami, you will still end up paying like $120 including shipping.

Personally I think all the heads of the Hasbro Optimus toys are rubbish. Which is ironic considering they own the property... While small, the revoltech prime is rather appealing in regards to movie accuracy not to mention a sweet weapons load.
