Fun with the di:stage

Posted by Yuuichi-kun [www]

Thought I'd post some pics of the different applications of the di:stage display stand built for figma, which can also be used for Revoltech and Nendoroids. I'm guessing it can also be used for 1/144 Gunpla as well =)

A different take on my 4koma regarding the Aces of the TSAB, also featuring Reinfoce Zwei from Alter's Yagami Hayate fixed pose figure. Ganbarre, Yoko!

My sword wielders. I love how with the di:stage I can pose them like this ^^

Fun with the di:stage

Scenes like this which were difficult to arrange using the regular bases are easy now with the di:stage! Approved! Σd(>口<)

My satisfaction with the di:stage itself is 100%!! I will definitely be getting more, but will wait until a supplier in the states starts carrying them, since the shipping cost more than the stages I bought for these 3 >< Highly recommended if you like staging your jointed action figures! Σd(>口<)

      Thanks ^^ You don't know how much of a pain it was trying to recreate that and other types of scenes where the characters are so close together like that with the base stand that the figmas come with >< Definitely need to pick up more di:stages!! xD

    So awesome! Loving the first pic. I just got my first Figma about a week ago and I just ordered another as well as my first Revoltech. I can't wait to get a decent collection so I can get a ds:stage and make some epic poses.

    While I personally like to display my figures separately, the stages are great for making group display pieces as exemplified by the Haruhi Diorama.

    But how many should I buy?

      It really depends on what you want to do with them, really. The three I have are quite versatile, but if you want to make BIG dioramas (of which I do ;) you might want to get several. You should definitely get at least 2 if you plan on doing a lot of air poses, which is usually the case with the Nanoha figmas, as they're usually in the air ^^

    I want to get a bunch of these, but the supplier of my local anime store doesn't seem to have these listed yet. I'm hoping that Danny's additions to this web site will allow me buy them directly from GSC. (or however that works)

      The di:stage just came out in September, and local/NA online stores usually get things like this in about 2 months after the initial release. You should expect to see them in local stores by the end of the month or so.

      I myself ordered my stages from Hobby Search, but as I stated, the EMS shipping cost more than the combined cost of the 3 stages I bought, which is why I'm waiting until they are available locally before I get more xD

      And I WILL get more ;)

        Problem is, it might still be cheaper to get them from Japan than through regular channels. Figmas that are $25.00 US or so are about $44.00 (BEFORE 14% tax) by the time they get here... :{

          Um, the di:stage is around 500 yen, not 2,500 (which is roughly $25, depending on exchange rate.)

      Aren't they? I was really surprised how much they didn't come out in the pictures! It makes it very difficult to review, since I can't even take a detailed picture of it! ^^;

      The di:stage was an absolutely brilliant move, I can totally see myself buying at least half a dozen more of these puppies for various scenes ^^ Can't wait to see what you do with them!

    How much are the Di:stages? I love the second pic of sword wielders, especially how Seto-san look and Signum too.

      A single Basic di:stage will cost around $6-7 USD depending on exchange rate, plus shipping. There is also a layer unit coming out this month that allows you to do layered dioramas as well. The di:stage is available in black or clear parts, but the stand parts (stand arm and dialog bubble holders) will be clear regardless of what kit you buy.

    These things look awesome. Still not sure about getting them since they're $9 each at my local store. I guess I can order them online, but I have to factor in shipping. What to do...
