July Loots and "Battle Station" Upgrade
Another month passes, another pile of stuff I'm sure I could live without. I tried some new lighting methods in this post. Clearly some of them didn't work out very well, but I wasn't going to rebox everything just to take another picture, so deal with it.
I also got a light box earlier and am still learning how to use that. I'm pretty pleased with the results so far.
Additionally, I added some shelving for my desk to better display everything. It was getting a tad crowded. I seem to have averted the need for an actual display case for a little longer, though.
On to the pics!

All the loot together. I know the lighting is absolutely horrible, but like I said, I'm not reboxing everything just to retake the picture.
I knew better than to shine light directly on the subject. -_-

I've been enjoying watching Usagi Drop this season. I figured I may as well check out the manga. They're only up to volume 3 so far but volume 4 is due out in September or so. Whether I actually take the time to read it remains to be seen.

I've coveted this figure for a really long time. I finally got tired of my collection's severe lack of Max Factory Kokonoe Rin and did something about it.

I'm sure you've all seen that it has a cast-off feature. Here's a reminder in case you forgot.
Rin's photos were taken on a different day, since I got her a few days ago. Why the lighting turned out differently than everything else I took photos of in the light box, well I'm sure I'll figure that stuff out the more I use it.

On to the old hags.
Here we have Charlotte Yeager by Alter.

I believe this is actually my first figure by Alter. They make a very nice product.

All Strike Witch figures are required to have posterior angle photos taken.

Next is Lynette Bishop by Kotobukiya.

Kotobukiya also always makes really nice figures.

Saving the best for last, here's Hatsune Miku by Good Smile Company. Obviously, I needed another Miku figure.
Yes, she has a cast off feature. No I'm not going to show it to you. Miku is too much of a lady. :3

As I said earlier in the post, I've added some cheap shelves to my desk. Is it working? A bit too much?
Crazy to see how much has been added since I started posting here. My first post for reference:

Oh wow, my house is so... tidy in those photos....

Left side of my "battle station"

Front and center. Again with the crazy lighting. I'll get the hang of it one day...

And the right side.
Hope you enjoyed this post. :D

Want!
All mine! :3
Yeah, I'm really jealous of this too. Hard to find a good price so long after it was made.
Great loots and your 'battle station' is looking great.
Why thank you. :D
Awesome! Great collection and "battle station" you got there!
Falling?!
Awwww??? She's leaning??? @_@
Just a funny angle. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/blog/100730
I wouldn't display Miku in a state of disrepair.
What series are these from?
The maid is Mahoro from Mahoromatic and the young lady in green is Excel from Excel Saga.
Really like the way you set up your desk but that cable mess on the PC has gotta go. It ruins the feel of the area.
a little dangerous no?
very nice battle station! it looks nice but if you tidy it up a bit ,I think it could look really good;)
I finished reading usagi drop (raw) and was surprised how the manga took a turn, different to the initial first few volumes
Did "Usagi Drop" change in a good or suboptimal way? I read vol. 1-3 just before the anime started airing and really enjoyed the story thus far.
Well for me, I didn't really like the change (you will see why in the later volumes) For me, it started going downhill after vol 5. Without spoiling too much, it's more on "romance" than the usual slice of life, drama feel that the last past 5 volumes had. But that's just what I thought.
Cool setup you have, really like the witches . And thanks, did'nt know the usagi drop manga was licensed.
Fate-chan :)
If I had a corner desk like that, I'd totally steal your idea for the shelving. I think it works out well.
Nice Witches! congratulations.... I'm also checking out Usagi manga.
Selves are good. I have most of my figures centered around my pc at the moment as well
pretty wicked setting. now i got new ideas how to set up my desk in the future
Excellent collection, very nice! I have to ask, what's the name of the anime/manga you have displayed on your PC?
rin-chan!~<3
moetan!~
