Display Secrets: Using Acrylic Stands

Posted by KyokoHunter [www]

One of the many dilemmas a figure collector faces is how to best display their collection.

My initial solution was to use acrylic display steps, so the figures get the space they deserve and can be seen much more clearly, whilst the fact that the steps are see-through means they don't distract from the figures.

I still needed more space though and the solution came in the form of an acrylic stand, designed not for figures - but cakes! The advantage of the circular tiers is that figures displayed on it can face in multiple directions without being obscured - making it ideal for my glass display cabinet where you can see through the sides as well as through the front. It also works well looking down onto it, as the upper tiers and figures don't obscure those below.

The cake stand idea is brilliant, although I mostly collect scale figures so it defeats the purpose.

Something I have found that works well also are tiered spice stands. Usually have 3 tiers high enough apart to not impede vision, and you can fight about 4 across on each tier.

Nice thoughts on cake stands, I would have never thought to use them.

Great Idea. Using stairs will result 50% of space unused. A cake stand will be 360 usable. If someone could make it rotate on its own it will be a 200% perfect solution
