Queen for a Day!
Ok, I know I probably screwed up by getting this new outfit but I *had* to! As soon as I saw it listed on Figurefm, I knew exactly which one of my girls I wanted to see in it.
Unfortunately, the outfit I got, the Feena default dress set, is NOT the style of clothing that my Rei likes. I really wanted to see her in it tho so I made her a deal.
If she tried it on for me, I would let her be "Queen for a Day", meaning that her sisters and I would have to do her bidding for as long as she wore the outfit. Since I knew she wouldn't wear it for long, I figured an hour or two of her being bossy wouldn't be too bad.
But sorry to say, all she did was complain the entire time about the outfit.
After she put it on for me, she was pouting....
"Tell me why I am being made to wear this atrocity again?"
Well, because I thought you would really be adorable in it!
"You thought wrong. Are you blind?"
"I mean just look at this dress. It has way too many layers."
"And this underskirt is also way too frilly."
"I must admit the color of the shoes is acceptable tho."
Oh come on Rei, it's not THAT bad.
"Have you paid any attention to this outfit? Seriously, do I really need all these blue gemstones all over the place? What use are they?"
"And this pitiful tiara.... this is no Queens Crown."
Can I at least see the back before you decide to take it off then?
"Fine. At least the blue bow back there is a nice accent. They finally did *something* right on this dress."
It has such nice details on it tho Rei.
"Oh? Then please explain what function these frilly side pieces serve?"
"This top is also unflattering."
"And the bustier is totally uneccesary."
"I just do not understand what you saw in this outfit Papa."
Well, I just wanted you to look regal and pretty, that's all. If you don't like it then take it off and we can put it away for Mamimi to wear at Halloween or something.
"What? Halloween? This is a Queens dress! You cannot go traipsing about in it like that!"
I thought you didn't like it Rei?
"Be quiet you Court Jester! Go and fetch me my Sceptre!"
"Now we shall see who is the fool and who is the Queen."
"Now where are my servants Jester? Go and fetch them for me at once! I require sustenence and a seat."
Yes Rei....
"What was that?"
I mean, YES YOUR HIGHNESS!
"That is what I thought I heard you say."
"Ahhh, finally. My own DD Throne and footstool. THIS is more like it."
So Rei, I guess you'll be wanting to take off that terrible outfit now right?
"Silence Jester! Methinks you will be serving me well into the night."

Heh, Rei liked her outfit way more than she let on. I think she may wear it a lot longer than I first thought!
And yes, her DD Throne is too funny. Mai and Ryomou did really well holding her up like that. =3

Actually, if you count DD's and PN girls, she was missing 4 servants. They were all in the kitchen making her a royal feast. Yeah, that's it. XD

Seina actually volunteered for the job of Sceptre Holder. Her and Rei are pretty close so Rei easily let her do it. It's better than being a footstool. XD

I don't think you know which show this is from. the dress is worn by Princess Feena Fam Earthlight from the Anime: Brighter than the Dawning Blue. It's a Love story with a inter-planetary (Earth/Moon) politics mixed in.. I don't even remember much in the way of fan service. (pretty tame if there was any..)
I highly recommend getting/watching it.
I know the name of the show and what the character looks like but that's it. I was told by friends that the original characters were from an eroge game. So that's why I said ecchi. The anime may not be ecchi but the souorce material is. :)
I see.. I'd still show her the Anime.. especially the part where she "looses it" and strafes a whole room over a bug... ^_^

She looks so gorgeously regal in that! Though I will admit, the fact that Feena's outfits is one of Volks' earlier effort kind of shows, especially when compared to recent gems like Beatrice's default. I think if they were to do Feena's gear now, they'd probably bone that bustier so it would hold its shape better. /sewingnerd
Also, Manami footstool? PRICELESS! Though I suspect that this will likely garner some eventual revenge. . . so long as there aren't cookies around to cause the delay of the operation. =P

The gloves are the only thing that seem "off" to me on this. They're not thick material and you can tell if you're not careful, fingers WILL poke holes thru it.
Manami will probably plot revenge at some point but I'm sure it won't be anything bad. Probably just more attacks on her tummy to make fart noises....which Rei hates. XD
She does look fantastic in it. But I do now recall hearing elsewhere that Feena's gloves are a pain. I don't think I've heard of anyone actually tearing them, but I'm not sure that counts for much. The gloves may be meant for the narrow-fingered "glove hands" Volks made for DDs for a brief while, and I'm almost certain complaints about Feena's in particular are why Volks wen the "interchangeable gloved hand" route for later gloved DDs like Nanoha and Saber Lily.
*Snerk* My dad used to do that to me when I was itty bitty. I suspect if Manami wants to get away from that mission unscathed sneaking up on Rei when she's asleep is probably the only way to pull it off. =P
I have those gloved hands.... they came with Rei's DDI body. I tried them and the fingers were WAY too long for them. I had to use the normal DDII hands and those are the right length. The problem is thatthe DDII hands are stiff and not nearly as flexible as the older glove hands. So getting them on with out ripping the gloves was difficult. This outfit won't get worn often due to that.
And the last time Manami did the belly thing to Rei, she did have to sneak up on her with Miyuki's help. So next time, I'm sure she'll either enlist Liyuiki or another sister to pull it off. =3
Ah, okay. I was a little fuzzy on which body they made them for; couldn't remember if the hands were from late DDI era or early DDII. Maybe you could make an alternate version of the pre-gloved hands that other limited girls have, by getting an extra pair of regular hands and gluing the gloves onto them, so you only have to put the hands through once?
. . . "Liyuiki"? . . . Is that a typo, or do you have some other girl I don't know about yet?
I don't know that I'd use this outfit enuff to warrant losing a $22 set of hands to the gloves. It's a decent thought tho.

Yeah, I guess buying new ones would be a little silly. But it may be worth keeping in mind in case a stained pair of hands comes up for cheap, since the gloves would cover any stains.
XD Okay then. I guess a typo is better for your wallet than the sudden acquisition of Miyuki's evil twin or something! I agree, editing our comments would be fabulous, and I know we're not the only ones to wish for it. While my browser's spellcheck usually keeps my spelling okay, I have had plenty of times where I have had serious grammar fail, or have mis-copied a link.
