Japan- Honeymoon Loot!
My husband and I just got back from Japan today and I thought I'd share my pictures of the haul with you all! We chose to go to Tokyo for our honeymoon as we loved it so much when we went over new years.
We're both very good at UFO catchers, so many of the figures and things were won ^-^. We hit up the Taito Game Stations in Akihabara first thing in the morning on the day the Soniko figures were released, and stumbled across the Lily (AniMove) prizes on our last day (yesterday which also started that day)
We stacked most of the doubles on top of each other.
Enjoy! I had fun organizing it all on the floor, LOL!
I miss Japan again already T^T.
If anyone is wanting me to get any closer pictures/detailed pictures of figures, etc. I will certainly be willing to do so. I'll be taking figures out for display soon!

Nice Sonico loot. Lovely clock =)
Just for the record; where does one get a wife like yourself? It would totally be awesome to go on a vacation and come back with all this, without a angry wife staring at you :P Your husband: Lucky man * thumbs up *
Haha!! Well it helps that we are both complete nerds- anime, manga, tons of figures, video games, cosplay, the works. :3 I had to put my foot down on only 1 thing because of cost but later on found it for much much cheaper (The to Heart 2 DVD thing there)We're both huge fans of Super Sonico (whom which I wore a t-shirt home of)so we were going hog wild over all the stuff out this month- alarm clocks, wall clocks, fans, figures, posters, OMG. lol
I drooled over this HUGE amount of loot! Hope my honeymoon will be like this~ ^^;
So that's all for you?
Well there's a few things there that are for friends and family- PSG cd, a few mouse pads, beatmania figure, a monster hunter weapon, 2 cuts of fabric, a pair of headphones and a bunch of the tiny pillow keychains-- but a majority of the stuff is to decorate our house we just moved into today. :)
those UFO catchers are so addictive, i can spend all day on one. Mind sharing a technique, lol? last time i went i spent about 2000Y on a Strike Witches Minna figure.
Well, it really depends on the machine. :3 some machines I can do much better than my husband and vice versa. On the flip over ones it's much better to grab from right before the back bar. Ummm.. The ones that are on steps- don't center the claw on the figure. Have it hook the object so that more of the claw is in the direction you want it to go. You want it to barely wrap on one side. I can't really express it well through text. XD
And oh god about Minna! Every time I found her she was one of those drag it to the hole ones that you have to grab by the pushed in tabs. My aim was just AWFUL. I kept pushing her the wrong way.
lol, i think i get what you're saying. sometimes those holes at the side of the boxes don't help. the claw picks it up and it drops only a few cm from where it originally was, lol. i saw one of the other folks try to grab it using the gap on the lid. since the middle of the top is taped down you try to pick it up using the small gaps of the top. i don't know if that's making any sense but that's how i got Minna. LOL, i was trying to get Minna for the LONGEST time (my fav witch) and all of a sudden this one guy came and tried like 3 times and got her. i was all 'wtf?' and banged my head once on the glass =P i tried those where you have to push the tabs, my aim was horrible LOL
wow thats some haul XD
Oh capturing god! I want these!
Elsie was proving to be super difficult to win D:. Did finally get her though.
Wow, that's a lot of stuff O.O
Omg! That is some awesome loot!! I can't wait to go to Japan again >_<
If I may ask, how do you get this amount of loot back home? Do you just have an extra empty suitcase en pay extra for the weight on the way back on the plane?
We checked a completely empty bag in a bag through Delta. For international we were allowed to check 2 bags each- we had 2 suitcases each, a carry-on and backpacks between us- 7 bags in total. We stuffed all our clothes and plush in the checked duffle and used our 3 "armored" cases for figures/fragiles. Books went in the backpacks and carryon. Tetris was played
Wow so much loots! I'm jealous!
I love this one~!
Nukojyu!! <3 He's pretty awesome! Apparently it's from the Gloomy Bear family! We won it at the Nakano Broadway mall
Thats awesome! He does look very large as well. :3
Oh yes, he's pretty large! Not as large as the giant Little Busters cat, lol
Well, regardless I envy it. And the rest of your loot, mostly Lily and Sonico. <3
congrats on the loot~
I'm currently addicted to Queen's Gate: Spiral Chaos. great game.
Omg I have to agree with you on that one! I just started it and I can't stop playing! I love the way they animated the attacks XD
Endless supply of oppai mousepads
We couldn't stop!!!! Wreaking ball UFO catcher made getting them waaaaaaay too easy! The temptation was far too great
I spy myself a Yotsuba Summer Ver. Revoltech X3
yup yup! I got her since I had so much fun with the original 1st release version
I heard this is a new Vocaloid. She is so beautiful! She reminds me of a grown up Rin! ^_^
Wow, will have to visit the crane machine games if i ever have the chance to visit japan, but i'm afraid i'll go broke just at the arcade lol
super cool!!!! Loads of good >_< better start saving now for my honeymoon when I got married, gonna go to Japan too.
Whoaaa. Nice loot. I'm addicted to UFO catchers myself though I wouldn't say I'm very good at playing, I'm just really stubborn. XD About how many tries does it take you to win the item? Also, were those Lily plushies prizes too?
A majority of the mouse pads were one try, along with many of the plush. Nukojyu took 3, the little busters cat took 2, and the headphones were one try. All those were 100 yen a try. Each soniko figure took about 1100yen each as she was a drag and drop one- the Madoka pillow took about 600yen at 200yen a try (pushed it down through the bar). The tiny pillows we probably dropped 4-10 down at a try(100 to try). My angel beats tshirt was a pain though- took 7+ tries. I'd have to think about the other ones. The soniko/sonico fans were fun to get too and I just wouldn't give up on my dang blue soniko alarm clock. I forget what Sonico thing caused a bunch of obscenities to spew from my mouth but it's somewhere in that pile. I want to say it was the wall clock.Even one of the workers kept saying WTF about why it wouldn't fall. He switched it to a different box at some point but I know I had to have spent 20+ tries on that damn clock. Yeah it was the clock.. Because when I won it I told him that it was going on my wall and it will stay there. Lol
LOL. Wow, sounds like you hit a wide variety of machines. Which type of UFO catcher do you prefer? I like the ones where the prizes are small and easy to win multiples at one time, like those tiny pillows. I also tend to have more luck with single hook cranes where you need to place them through the hole on the box.
XD ready to open shop! LOL
Haha!!! I know, right?! We totally could!
Sakamoto!
Having my honeymoon in Tokyo with an otaku waifu is about as good as it gets. Getting all this loot just makes it that much more awesome. Hope you post some pics of places you visited.
