Elisabeth and Clara Arrive! Part 1
My dear friend and fellow Figure.fm poster Salica has recently had to sell some of her beautiful girls off due to some life changes. She asked me if I might be interested in adopting any of them and if so, she would see what she could do for me.
Of course, I asked her about Elisabeth, whom I simply adore. We have a little "history" so to speak so it only made sense for me to ask about her. I also asked about her sister Clara, who is a custom DDII with an 02 head. Her faceup was actually done by Salica herself so that made her even more desirable to me.
After thinking it over, Salica made me a deal I could not pass up..... so I now have two new daughters to call my own! That now brings my family up to TEN girls. O_o
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Salica for helping me adopt two of her precious girls. It means a lot to me to be able to do this as well as help you out. I promise I'll treat them well and welcome them into my family! I love them both and I am sure my girls will too. =3
Now, here is the first part of their arrival to my home. The second part will be ready in a few days.
C - "Well, we're finally here. Are you ready Elisabeth?"
E - "Yes! I'm ready!"
C - "Alright, I'll knock now..."
E - "Wait! Wait a minute."
C - "What is it?"
"Does my hair look ok? Is the bow on straight? It's a bit windy so I want it looking nice."
C - "You look fine. We went over this on the bus trip here."
E - "Ok, just checking."
C - "Alright, let's do this."
E - "Wait! I want to tell you something first!"
C - "What is it NOW?"
"Well....I just wanted to say thanks for answering my questions. I just want to make a good first impression, that's all."
"It's fine Elisabeth. You look fine. Everything will be good. Now let me knock so we can get in out of this oppressive heat."
"Oh! Do you think Baldylox likes bunnies? I hope he does. Do you think he does Clara?"
"What have I done to deserve this..... we'll never get inside at this rate."

Also, Clara's reaction to Elizabeth at the very end? PRICELESS! Excellent posing there; I can just hear the "clunk" sound effect as her head hits the door. XD I think Clara and Rei are probably going to be hanging out a lot together.

Thanks about the posing! That defeated look had to be just right so you could see she was exasperated... XD And you're right, Clara ( who will now be known as Sango ) will get along very well with Rei.

Sango, huh? May I ask what the story is behind that renaming, or is it spoilerific? Also, are you changing Elizabeth's too?

Well, to tell the truth, Clara just isn't a name I like that much. It's not bad by any means but it's just not my style. And I don't think it fits *her* style either.
I was looking thru a list of names online and when I got to the "S" section, Sango just jumped out at me. It means "coral". And it's also the name of my favorite female character in the Inuyasha anime. She also had long, dark hair so that was also cool to me. So that's why I wanted to change her name. Nothing secretive. XD
Ah, okay! I asked about spoilers because I thought maybe the name change would get featured in the next photostory. =P
But yeah, I totally get changing a name. Not only did Agatha get a name change when I adopted her (her original name was "Kasuga"--pretty, but not nearly spunky enough), but my family has actually done that with two dogs we've adopted over the years. The first case was Mabel, whose name we changed to Ferrari. The second case we changed the dog's name from Oreo to Grommit; we'd already had a dog named Oreo in the past, so having another was just too weird. In both cases the dogs were young enough to learn their new names fairly quickly.

Elisabeth was named by Salica and since I've "known" her for a while now, she will keep that name and persona. I like the name and it's different spelling. That's cool you have the same one! ^_^
I just picked up from Salica the two ball gowns she had up for sale (the off-white and the purple one). We met up at Place d'Orleans mall in the food court and had a bit of a chat.. (waves at Salica) The dresses are lovely, but now I'm gonna need a dresser or something for all these Dollfie Cloths.. ^_^

Thank you! I think Salica may have had Kuroneko in mind when she did the faceup. I haven't watched that show but I do know who Kuroneko is and what she looks like. So there is a close resemblance to her.
I've never watched the show either, i just know the character from various figures :D

I'm really glad you know your girls will be taken care of. It makes me happy to know this. And they won't feel lonely at all. All their new sisters are already playing with them nicely! I did another photoshoot with Mamimi, Yukino and Elisabeth and they are all having a great time playing with some stuffed animals and my cats! =3 I'll put those pics up on the DD forums tonight so you can see them.
