Henry Cavill as Superman in "Man of Steel" (2013)
I've been doing a lot of Batman related post lately due to my love for the character. This time, I'm going to focus on Superman.
Here's a look at first image of Henry Cavill as Superman for the upcoming Superman movie reboot.
My impression: meh.
I was expecting a more modern yet down-to-Earth look for the suit. You know, like straps/ laces on the boot, a simple looking cape, and add a pair of glove.
Why add a glove?
Come on. All this time Supes flying around Metropolis saving people, catch criminal and all goody-two-shoes stuffs and NO ONE, not even law enforcers, criminals, AND Lex Luthor ever thought of figuring out Supes' REAL identity through fingerprint that he (ALWAYS) left behind.
Then again, if a glasses and different hair style can preserve your identity flawlessly, then a fingerprint ID won't be much of an issue.
Another nitpick I have with Supes' suit is this:
Am I the only one here notice how the texture of Supes' suit ar very similar to Spidey's suit for Spidey's reboot?
So, what do you guys think of Henry Cavill's Superman?
Henry-Superman looks like a villain. As if he robbed and broke a bank's volt on that picture. XD
Lots of remakes these days =( How about a Justice League movie =D
Not without Flash and Wonder Woman movie first.
I dig Henry Cavill as Superman. The face kind of reminds me of George Reeves from the old TV show.
DC Comics editor Eddie Berganza addressed the fingerprint issue in a Q&A:
