Comiket 80
today was my 1st time to Comiket, got up at 11am and made my way about 12pm. got to the Big Sight around 1pm. talk about being packed, japanese love to queue - the smell was rather off putting when everyone around u is sweating. i 1st went to the east hall not knowing the layout of the event and ended up in the Boy Love section. i never knew BL was so popular, tables after tables of circles manned by women full of BL. i then made my way to the West hall and again majority of the circles were into BL. i then went into the Corporate hall by luck, this is the hall i wanted. got my small loot and left at 3:30pm, so tired cuz of the heat and queuing etc. i doubt i'll go to CM summer again as its too hot.
i was jealous when i saw all these japs with nice anime girl bags, i wondered where they got them from, u had to buy them lol. there were bags from all our fav companies such as type-moon and august etc.

went to Iga Ueno, home of the Iga Ninja Clan - ninja trains, watched a pro throw ninja stars from 20 meters hitting the target dead on and he then threw 2 then 3 stars at the same time - it was an awesome sight and would cause serious injuries if those stars hit a person.
ended up eating about 60+ sticks, cost average of 100yen per a stick
Boy Love circles manned by women
the corporate hall were selling mostly Oppai mouse pads, Dakimakuras, and stationary.
my loot from CM, touhou plush marisa+mokou, touhouh key rings and a T2/Sega stationary set.
all in all total cost around 12,000yen
Today was my first Comiket too. I didn't go to bed the night before and set out at 3:45 for the first train from Ueno Station departing at 4:34 and then got on the first Yuurakuchou Metro Line train and on the first Rinkaisen train. I was probably the only foreigner there, or at least the only Caucasian. It was an unforgettable experience, that packed metro and stampede on the transfer for Rinkaisen.

Yeah, I did. It was limited to 300 pieces only, so I had no choice but to get on the first train if I wanted it. Even so, I wasn't sure I would get it, because a lot of people seem to have loitered around or slept nearby over the night, and Yurikamome was there earlier. The reason I didn't get on that one is that it is too small and you have small chance you will be able to get on the first one. Still, the lining system is a bit confusing at the actual waiting points.
Tried the Rinkaisen for the first time last May when I went to Odaiba. Came in handy as I wanted to check out the Panasonic center.
now I understand why Comiket is so popular XD

Some booths give your purchase into their paperbag whatever you buy. So you can get five bags for five 1,000 yen purchases, theoretically speaking.
Haha, I was at last years summer comiket for the first time and we started queuing since 6 in the morning at the west enterence.... So many people, so much awesomeness :)
for god sake .. im SOOO not looking forward to go to comiket .. look at those people . Last year horrific queuing is just .. *faint* ... i line up from 6am till 12noon to get my keion plushies from TBS booth . both for NatsuComi and FuyuComi. winter comi isnt as easy as ppl thinks . freezing your butts man !
