i talk about Dollfie stuff while Mirai complains about weather conditions
poor girl, she's sad. it's so hot outside. damn you, California. we were excited when we woke up to an extremely heavy blanket of fog.
anyway, this is the part where i talk about Dollfies. some of you may recall me announcing that im an "expectant" DD father. i couldn't wait to have my own DD to call my own, let alone having it be a Kanu DD, my most wanted of the girls available.
it was an unbelievable stroke of luck, really.
however, i remember reading that Kanu doesn't have too many option parts due to her unique tanned skin tone. before finding Kanu up for adoption, i was looking for how much a tanned DD Dynamite body was. as expected, it was pricey, but it didnt matter much seeing how it was sold out. i also dont recall seeing any tanned hand parts either. Kanu has only two pairs of hands, one with her red gloves and another without. this doesnt leave much in the way of certain hand gestures that all the other girls have.
nonetheless, im still excited. it may be silly by the social norm when you consider a dude playing with a doll. i honestly do think it to be kind of silly, but that is when you look at it out of context of said dude being a collector of action figures /dolls. im a figure collector - i tell people i am - me playing with a doll or action figures should not be a odd thing to think about. its much in the same vein how someone would collect stamps, leaves to put in scrap books, cards, etc. something about those things captivates us and we like them. when you like something, you like to have more of it.
for me, being a figure collector now, my collection SHOULD include at least ONE Dollfie. it also seems that i will fulfill that quota real soon. i am just under $200 away from completing the payments for Kanu and i honestly cannot wait to meet Kanu much longer than i have already.

Congrats on getting that much closer to your goal! Kanu is a beautiful girl and will be worth all the time and effort you put into saving for her. You picked some great pics of Kanu to represent how you feel about her. I hope she comes home to you soon! =3

As long as what we do for enjoyment makes us happy and doesn't harm anyone else, that's all the reason it needs.
that is a very good point. as long as our hobbies/habits dont get in the way of others to actually hurt them in some way, its all good :D
just to clarify, i wasnt trying to say that its wrong for men to play with dolls (even manly men can play with dolls). im just saying it might be a little silly in the eyes of those who dont necessarily share the same sort of interests as we do.
I know just what you mean, and I really admire your attitude. I could benefit from being less self-conscious.
Was wondering about the "tanned" hands. If you got the standard hands, and deliberately soaked them in a clothing dye until they were the right colour, would that not work? Hands aren't to expensive, so sacrificing a pair for experimentation might be worth it..
And we all know how much Dollfie 'skin" likes to take a stain... ^_^

Great pics of Kanu and congratz on almost getting her paid for!! I don't think it's strange for a dude to play with dolls. Hell i used to play with my sisters barbies when i was a kid, plus with all my other actions figures too.
