slight room update

this is the current state of my old room. it is now a modest-looking guest room. the picture was actually taken a few days prior.

and here is i guess the biggest addition/update to my room - two new shelves. its funny i call them "new" and that's because these wooden wall shelves had been in storage for over a decade. i believe i was a little over 10 when we got them - im 23 in October.

with these shelves i can finally and proudly display certain items i consider really important to me. on the top shelf is my little Beatles collection, while below it is Mirai and the autographed box by Danny himself. besides her is also my Associates of the Arts degree from the local community college.

thanks to this rearrangement, my figures are no longer crowding my desk and are all sitting on a shelf comfortably. to be honest, they all look better here. o like having one nice corner for them all to be displayed, rather than being totally spread out.

the corner and second shelf feature the Vocaloid/BRS collections. currently looking for Matoi and a proper Miku figma.

the figma shelf is the same, but now slightly less crowded.

manga are all in the same place still, but are now accompanied by the Negima Figurmates and McFarlane Snake. also in the shot is my silly collection of Japanese beverages.

some of you may know that i like to draw. where do i draw? in the closet and my chair is the head of my bed. this set up work so well for me i may never change it. i can also show off my impressive box collection XD (the rest are on a higher shelf above the desk and is far more impressive to look at than just the figma boxes).

since my bookshelf isn't being primarily used for books, my books now sit here. its made up of entirely of artbooks, smaller comic books, Beatle books, and Japanese learning books. oh, and i like chess.

Liliana leads this interesting group of strong lady fighters. she and Selvaria are often in a power struggle.

once again, the One Piece shelf. nothing new here - it was left untouched during the redesign.

my, what lovely "eyes" they all have. really, they would all be on top of the shelf with Selvaria and the others, but there's simply not enough space.

now some military-type figures take their positions beside the TV. Yotsuba is a civilian turned village protester. or something.

i had this niconico.com flyer from AX2011 and wondered what to do with it. here you go, Door, now people will know which room is mine.

The Beatles will always and forever be my favorite band.

and finally, Mirai being stoked she's got a shelf all for herself and shows off Danny's card and autograph.
