Mim's Nendoroid Army!

Posted by Mim

Hai everyone!

I'm starting the initial clear out of my room for renovations and thought this might be a great opportunity to take stock of my little Nendoroid collection.

I'm still not sure if I'll ever take them out of their boxes. Good lord I'd love to and put them on display, but then my head implodes when trying to figure out where the boxes and figures will go. orz

Naturally I really hope you enjoy the shots ^.^

Mim's Nendoroid Army!

I was really worried that a). It would all fall over and b). I wouldn't get it all in one shot!

Mouseover = load notes.
Mim's Nendoroid Army!

Set the camera to max rez so you can save them locally and try zooming round. Forgive the kinda poor camera :*(

Mouseover = load notes.
Mim's Nendoroid Army!

You know I was thinking of putting them all in order, but it would taken a really long time, that and I think this wall was only made possible by the paricular placement of them all based on size and weight ^.^"

      Just an observation on my part, but they really have been getting better over time quality and sculpt wise. It is amost like a museum exibit seeing as so many of the earlier ones are gettgin realy rare now.

        Yeah, you really can see the quality change of the years, particularly in the finer details and accessories. Most of the the Nendoroids released in 2006/2007 were quite bland. But there were a couple of gems in those years like Nao and Primula.
        All Mim needs to do now is buy 1 more of each Nendoroid so you can actually open the box up and display them all together in glass cabinets next to your wall of Nendos!!!
        ^_^

      Although I did buy some of the Puchi sets I found them to be rather fragile, flimsy and just not detailed enough. I really fell in love with the larger Nendo's as their scale allows more artistic freedom and a greater level of potential compatability in swapping components.

      The larger size Nendo's really are more like Lego, you know I really loved that stuff in my younger years.

      My first set (and still one of my favourites) was the Haruhi Bunny trio. I then started buying the ones I liked the most and realised I may as well look at getting the older ones little by little.

      I'm not fussed about about the Primula variants otherwise thats everything else including B versions, all the play sets and the MM PVC that was desighned to appear leaping out of the nendo.

          The great thing is that given the sheer size of the Nendo market its never too late to buy just about any Nendo that's ever been released. I just takes a little research to track down the desired one at a reasonable price.

          Having a proxy service that lets you bid on Yahoo JP and online stores like Mandarake are a god send. Then there are proxies that will even hunt through Akiba stores just for what you want.

    This is such an impressive collection. Do you collect anything else besides nendos? and have you taken them out of their boxes yet? I feel doozy just looking at these ;A;

      I did collect starwars figs for a while and reached over 2000 retail DvD's, which you can see in some of my past room posts. You could say I'm a bit of a completionist >.<"

        When I collect something I tend to go after it with a singular focus or at least try and not to be destracted too much.

      Gave me a good chuckle just now. I wasn't aware of the article and found it after a little search, but thats exactly where I bought mine from. I've seen several examples going over 1000usd in other places.

    Do they have a Guinness World Record for most nendroids owned and stacked up?. I have a hunch this will make or break the record.

    Mmmmm experiencing a wall of nendroids collapsing on you would be interesting ^w^

      A small part of the wall did fall as I was building it (just a few), but could you imagine the rush?

      Thought my heart was going to rip out of my chest and do a victory dance around my fallen Nendo's.

        I was totaly going to do that, but I feared for the structural stability as all the big boxes were propping up the sides and all the early numbered ones came in tiny boxes. The two K-On stage sets alone would of been too heavy for it to happen.

    by the way, your wall of Nendos has made it to Anime news network -

     ANN post in question although your listed as anonymous - I've let them know who you are so it should be sorted soon-ish.
