Dakimakura Collection 2

Sousou from the eroge Shin Koihime Musou made by Baseson. This was a comiket release a few years ago now (can't remember exactly when) which I managed to pick up from Yahoo Japan Auctions. The colors are absolutely gorgeous on this one, the differents purples are very rich and vivid. Definitely one of my favourite dakimakuras. As you will probably guess, I'm quite a fan of Koihime Musou so have a fair few dakimakura from it. The material of this one feels like a high quality smooth knit.

Back side. Her facial expression on this side is so lovely :3 By all account she is one of the shorter characters, though (as often tends to happen to make them fill up all the space) for this dakimakura she looks much taller than normal, in particular her legs are extremely long compared to how they normally would be. However they look beautiful and slender so I'll allow them this slight divergence from canon.

Cospa's Ganessa dakimakura, of the cheaper Polyster Twill material type. I got this to test the difference between their smooth knit and twill variations. It doesn't come across too well in the photos, but the stitches/lines of the fabric are very evident when viewing from any sort of close distance. If you intend to use the dakimakura as a pillow cover (and thus will have it next to you in bed) then definitely do not ever get a cospa polyster twill dakimakura. The extra 1k yen for smooth knit is definitely worthwhile as the image will be a lot smoother and not have visible lines from the fabric (unless you view it super close). If you intend to hang it on a wall only, then Polyster twill is probably passable.

I always found the design of the images on this dakimakura odd: On the side where her clothes are ripped off and she looks like a rape victim she's making the Deredere expression, when on the back side when she's all dressed up for her limiter, she's looking all Tsuntsun. The expressions really seem like they would have fitted the opposite side's appearance better.

According to the stats in the eyecatches (and the breast measuring dvd special), Ganessa is one of the largest endowed girls in the series, so I think they were a bit too conservative with her bust size on this dakimakura. She still looks pretty good though, just not quite as big as she should be. And that being said, they really over did the breast exposure in the anime compared to the manga...

Yurippe from Angel Beats, which came with an issue of Dengeki Festival. They really messed up on this one, the colors are way off from that of the preview pic, so her hair is the wrong color, and her thighhighs don't have the nice tint to them that they have in the preview image. Overall quite a disappointing one for me. Compared to the Kanu daki in the previous post, this is made of a much better material though, probably some kind of cheap smooth knit variant and it does have a zipper too.

The lovely Nymph from Sora no Otoshimono, made by Surfer's Paradise. They say this is smooth knit, but the fabric is a lot "thicker" feeling than most smooth knits, while being very soft and stretchy. Overall, Surfer's Paradise seem to have the highest quality smooth knit, Chara-high the 2nd nicest, and Cospa a very poor quality smooth knit (mainly as the fabric is super thin, and images from the reverse side come through the front easily).
