Basement Life: Room of Doom Edition

Posted by famicom

Hello. I thought I'd give a glimpse into my everyday life. Starting with...

Basement Life: Room of Doom Edition

The main hub. TV on the left connected into the PC with monitor on the right. Below are a Wii, reciver, two PC's (one inactive), and Gamecube (inactive). Also a PS3 behind the TV, because my HDMI cable was too short to put it where it belongs. Speakers and legacy systems on the perimeter. Topped off with a nice Ibuki in the middle. :)

A couple steps to the left on the same wall is the main DVD shelf. Mostly anime, with some domestic stuff on the top shelf. I still have many more that belong here but they are lost in space (aka on loan). Eventually they will pay. Preferably with blood. Still expanding on this.

A turn 90 degrees to the left takes you to this shelf built into the wall. Here stands another row of figures, meticiously organized. More anime DVDs and a row of manga to boot. To the left of those, a stack of import CDs that would be the direct opposite of meticiously organized.

Turning another 90 degrees and walking a few steps takes you to my dungeon entrance, where this Detolf of figures reside. The most expensive figure in this shot is actually outside of the display; a can of paint that transforms into a Gundam. That's a joke BTW.

If we now teleport through the wall we were looking at and turn around 180 degrees we'd end up here, at my retro game center. Proper working SNES and N64 shown, connected to a more-rare-than-I-ever-knew GXtv. I have way more games than what is shown here; they are stashed away in a plastic bin. I also have a Genesis buried in the first shot, but no AC adapter to power it (once again, burned by loan outs). Oh wait, this is figure.fm! Lovely Mario & Luigi soft vinyls on top of the drawers. Clothes may or may not be in said drawers.

A quick pan to the left of that brings us here. Another shelf, this time of games and old VHS tapes. Some figure boxes stashed back here too. Other very naughty things are also on this shelf unpictured, but will never be seen by anyone. Even me.

And finally, moonwalk a couple steps and pivot left brings us to the final destination, the master table of figures (and only clean area of my room). Much too many to name, but I keep a full tally of everything here. Can you guess what cost me the most on this table?

Okay, in my opinion Basemnets are FTW for one they have LOTS of space two since there are stairs and a door and possibly a wall after the door if your doing some personal things you have enough time to zip it up and resmue normal activities but besides those.... I give your a room an 8/10 (-1 one for messyness :p -1 for not enuf haruhi -1 for lack of "pillows" +1 for games/game consoles.) You rox.
