Chat w/Yoshiyuki Tomino at NYAF

I had the opportunity to briefly talk to Yoshiyuki Tomino for several minutes at the New York Anime Festival.
It was a very interesting chat, he told me that he really likes the old and new Macross mecha designs, me too!
It was one of many highlights and I got an opportunity to do a story for an ABC affiliate in Charleston.

Wait.. did you speak to him in Japanese.. or english? O_O Btw that is awesome.. He is probably the most awesome old dude one would want to meet...
He spoke in Japanese and someone translated it. I wish I knew how to speak Japanese!
I are jealous... Er, not making anything new is he?
He didn't mention anything new on the horizon, however he did bring the "Ring of Gundam" short he recently directed. He showed that, I believe on Friday, but I missed it unfortunately since my flight was just arriving in NY.
