Site Layout Help!

I have kept my old layout for more than a year now and am thinking about changing it, but the thing is...I'm not sure if I should...could you guys give me some advise? Which one do u like better?
I use wordpress so I couldn't really make my own, so just pic one (^_^)

Personally I prefer the first one.
It just connects everything better together than the other one.
I have the second one on my blogs layout, if you want to check it out. I like it, it's just that the words come off a little too big sometimes, I wish I could change the font size, but otherwise, I really like it.
The second one is very nice and has that clean feel many people like.
