Kanbaru figma Follow-Up! ("Rainy Devil")

Posted by amishrolf [www]

Time for a follow-up on my previous post for the Kanbaru figma.
This time I'm gonna be focusing on her "Rainy Devil" mode.

So here she is in her "Rainy Devil" form.
It looks pretty awesome, true, but it actually is a bit more trouble than it seems.

If you noticed I wasn't using a stand on Kanbaru, I'll tell you that it wasn't by choice. Clearly there isn't a space to insert the stand rod on the back of the coat. Also, it'd be too difficult to put it in from underneath the coat, as the coat is not loose enough to keep the shape of the coat from looking like she has a stand rod in her back,

Unless you have the claw-attachment to hold Kanbaru rather than attach her to the stand/base, The Black Rock Shooter figma has this claw attachment to hold her Rock Cannon.

And now how to get the coat on. Follow the picture exactly as you see it.

I don't like having to tear apart the limbs of my figure just to place a special accessory onto it. It's troublesome, in my opinion. The coat has no buttons or really small zipper. you have to literally slip Kanbaru into her coat like you would putting on a shirt yourself.

Also, you can try all you want to just slip the coat onto Kanbaru - it's actually crucial to remove poor Kanbaru's head.

If there was a more complicated and inconvenient way to put on a raincoat like this, I don't know what it'd be.

Kanbaru falls over. Clearly she's exhausted for having to put the darn coat on. Anyway, "Rainy Devil" is really awesome once you finally put up with, literally, tearing Kanbaru limb from limb.

I personally just think it's a bit more work than it's worth just to do something as simple as putting on a raincoat. The "Monkey Paw" is troublesome enough since you had to completely remove an arm for it. That makes sense though.

Time for some silly Kanbaru pictures!

A sort-of recreation of the final episode of Kanbaru's arc.

A lighthearted version of Araragi vs. Rainy Devil.

Kanbaru hits on Hitagi. The latter seems confused.

We zoom out from the previous picture and notice Araragi being chased by Mayoi. The gang is (almost) all here!

Only Nadeko Snake and Tsubasa Cat left :) I'm pretty good at balancing figmas without stands, hehe, but her shoes do make her look unbalanced.

You know... You should make Kanbaru more scary!

Oh, and you should hide her face more!

i didnt mention it in the post, but i actually cant keep the hood down. i couldnt hide her face, which i tried to do. the coat is still in that fresh-out-of-the-box quality where it's sort of stuck in that same shape it was when it was packaged, especially the hood.

i'll admit the pose i had her in was kinda goofy Xb
