Steve Jobs 1955 - 2011

Posted by マンダラケ

Found and former CEO of apple inc. has passed away as of today. I know that this may have nothing to do with japan or figures, but as an apple user myself, and also danny, I would like everyone to pay a minute of silence for him.

R.I.P. Steve Jobs, but your legend lives on T^T

Some say, there were three apples that changed the world....
First was the apple that Adam and eve ate
The second was the apple that dropped on Isaac Newtons head
And the third apple was apple inc. founded by Steve Jobs.....

Whoa, damn! The guy was younger than my grandparents are. . . Any word on cause of death?

Well, it's definitely a sad day, seeing him go. While I switched back to Windows due to easier hardware upgrading, I do still have quite a fondness for Apple's Mac OS and for their sense of design. From my understanding Jobs had a strong influence on both aspects, so I hope the rest of the Apple design team manages to carry on the legacy well in his memory.

A sad day in the tech world. Lots of folks use Apple or Apple-inspired products. I'm not a big Apple user (Just an iPod.) and I didn't always agree with Steve's path, but I respected him.

Tremendous loss for both the US and the world in general. The US needs more visionary people like Jobs if we are ever to get ourselves back on track. His products and ideas have changed so much in just 10 years that what he might have accomplished in the next 10 years boggles the mind.

RIP Steve. He was an amazing Visionary and really changed the way we look at technology today. For example, you don't buy an MP3 player...... You buy an iPod. Thats just how it was and it really made an impact in many places such as schools, universities and even Hospitals. Many Small businesses and large firms of the like have changed the way they do such tasks due to Apple Products and its clear that the spearhead of all this was Steve. He will surely be missed by all those who have been touched by an Apple Product.

The flags and Microsoft Charlotte are at half mast today out of respect for a great loss to our industry. Even though Apple is a competitor in some markets, I greatly respect what he had done for Apple's second push into the industry.
