Dakimakura Collection 9

First up is Cecily Cambell from Seiken no Blacksmith. This was a hobbystock exclusive and I really don't like the material of it, put me off getting any other hobbystock ones. It is in theory a smooth knit, but it's not good for displaying by hanging, as it tends to clump up unless you clamp it from every possible angle to keep it stretched out for a clear image. No other dakimakura I have is as bad in this regard as this one, not by a long shot ;( Also, the material up close looks like it has very tiny crystals or something (I'm sure there's a technical term for this but I've no idea what :p) in it that reflect light in an unappealing way.

If you look here on the black bits of her outfit, her red hair etc you can see lots of flecks of white which are the reflective bits returning the flash. It's most noticeable than on any other dakimakura I have (all reflect light to a certain degree, but I guess the rest are more consistent throughout rather than having lots of tiny bits that are more reflective than the rest.

Back side. It is a shame really, since Cecily is quite a cutie. Though admittedly that's about all she is, the anime as a whole was pretty dreadful after luring me in with how good she looked ;(

Eris from Asobi no iku yo! by Chara-ani. I got this at comiket and it feels like a solid 2way tricot. If you go to comiket though, don't bother queuing for Chara-Ani unless you desperately need something from them. They had by far the slowest queue of all the corporate booths so you're much better off spending your time elsewhere first. They also had quite a large stock of most things left by the end of the first day still (though the Tenshi dakimakura sold out in like the first hour).

And now 2 To Heart 2 dakimakura, which came as the bonuses on the ToHeart2 adplus Limited Edition boxes. First up is Komaki Manaka. These are both of a peach skin / polyester suede type material, which creases easily and retains creases indefinitely. They have absolutely no stretch to them.

And then the seemingly endlessly popular Kousaka Tamaki, who seems to have more figures and general merchandise than any other character in existence. Rarely a month goes by without multiple new figures of her. Her we see her looking rather playful in a maid uniform.

Back side. And her we see her looking a little vulnerable while mostly out of her outfit. The figure version of this image got released recently, still waiting for it to arrive here for me!
